I am sure he did, but reliable sources told me that he gave about S$10K to fix the leaking roof as well.
From what I heard, the man is a businessman (in the hardware business), maybe in his late 40's or early 50's. Got to know this PRC KTV girl in one of the upper class joints in the Havelock area. This girl early 20's, here on student pass, from North-East China (or something like that). Never seen here before but reliable sources said she is quite pretty. So enamoured of her was this Sillyporean that he practically went to the KTV every night for 2 weeks in a row and each time he went, he would book her for the whole night and it was only after the 10th or 12th time he was there that he asked her out to bonk her. Cannot verify, but heard also before this Sillyporean, this girl already a "working girl", charging S$500 a pop, S$1,000 for overnite.
Moral of the story, much as so many things have been said about these WLs (especially those from China), there are still quite a number of "roberts" out there waiting to be chopped up and used as garnish.
