Re: Another Fraud case/blackshop in Shanghai!!!
Just my personal views, in Shanghai, in China or anywhere in the world, if we travel alone or even with friends, try to fit in together with the locals and don't dress or act like a tourist/foreigner. Never ask a stranger (taxi driver, pimp or someone on the street) to recommend and/or bring u to any place to cheong......u will be lucky to pay and come out alive.
Yes, we must be steady when situation arises, and also bring only sufficient cash out each time, we don't want to be short of cash and refused exit (surrounded by local gangsters) when we kena makan by the locals and/or also don't wished to be seen as carrying excess cash and become an easy target. One thing for sure, they only want your cash, not our life, for a start.
I travel alone to everywhere and so far so good in PRC, maybe i am lucky, and most important I will try to fit in as a local (my dressing are localised), although most of the time my language may gave me away instantly when I speak, and I nevered trust or go along with any stranger whom pretend to be friendly and act as a Cheong/Shopping guide etc.
