Yes,we bought 2 jars of beer and got 2 jars free...i also dont understand why...lol. Cover charge was pretty high at 400k when we bring in out own liquor. With the receipt here,i can analysis their charges better. I was told it depends on how much is in the bottle of our liquor,if we bring in an opened bottle with lesser then full,prices of the cover charge will be a little lower.

I always have the impression that beers are suppose to be cheap in Batam,to me the bill shows that beer is quite costly,hehehe...well,thats from someone who dont drink...lol.

Yep,280k on the bill is not the tip for the girl,its more like having the girl to seat with my friend thru the night w/o butterflying off the room. The other 250k is tipping for the girl after all the rubba rubba...lol. I really dont know how the tipping system REALLY works in Batam KTVs and in case you didnt know,only one of the 4 of us has a sitting girl from the KTV,and that isnt me.

If one day Batam's KTV can get me interested,i may just go and do some experiment there. I also notice in the 2 bills,one has a room charge (smaller bill),the other one doesnt (bigger bill). So it goes to say if we exceed a certain amount of spending even w/o ordering liquor for a certain sized room,the room charge is waived.

And i put all these on record in my summary for my future reference,just in case one day i become interested...lol.

Bro Nono if I rights. The siting or booking fee is 50/25/25. The girl get 50 mamas an 25 the ktv get 25. Sometimes like this. Also ktv what I know each room got a min spending amt. than you get the room free.also I think you you tip the mamas and $20. And ask her if you can bring you own bottle in. I think most of the time will can without the 400k charge.

Yes, ticket is a ref for him and yes, he is relying on his memories...which unfortunately, is 20+ yrs ago. The hotel we went to was his 2nd trip and he thought there were many entertainments.....which turn out not so....but overall, still managed to hve fun.

Anyway, it's a good learning experience for me too. This is sifu's final trip as he may not be able to make it the next round as he is getting weaker and walking is getting more difficult for him.

If compared to S'pore, it is cheap.....and from what the prices I've see in Permata Indah, Meximo and T2 Club.....the jugs are slightly cheaper...and with 2 free jugs, it is cheaper by 1/2.....only question in my mind is why 1st night only 1 jug free and 2nd night 2 jug free?

Btw, beer at Windsor court cost bet Rp28k to Rp 38k.....half the price of S'pore coffeeshops.......and 70 beer promoters vs average of 5 promoters in S'pore coffeeshops.

I don't know about Batam but if we book a girl the whole night, no tip is given since we've paid the booking(fyi, booking whole night to sit in S'pore nightclub is approx $240)....some tips may be given...if the girl is outstanding in service and we wish to rtf. If I need to pay total of Rp 530k for sitting, I might as well book a girl overnight for Rp800k and she will accompany to KTV also. Make sense?

I believe the bros who tag along should appreciate ur effort and time in `guiding' them as it's more of a learning trip for them; if they enjoyed the trip, great, if no, at least the trip at least gives them the experience of what batam is all about and they should be grateful for it as u're not being paid to bring them around.

Sacrifice as in need to compromise when in group rather than a free and easy to do what u want when travelling alone...but personally, I like travelling with like minded bros who are easy going....it's more fun.

I totally agree. Few people behaving without respect spoil reputation and make life harder to everybody. We need to know where we go and respect the sensitivity of men and also girls.

UPDATE: MORNING AFTER

I apologize in advance to everyone who PMed me regarding joining my July trip to Batam in advance here.(you PMed too early). i have to do all necessary notification in advance due to a handful "F16 pilots" which i need to tackle in my every group trips. Not forgetting there are also another handful who PM me w/o reading my travelling Terms and Conditions and my signature links yet tells me that they wish to join me to Batam on a WEEKEND.And i do not PM others asking anyone to join me on any of my group trips,it never happen in the past and will unlikely be happening in the future too.

If you notice,in most summaries i will declare my spendings to the public,but not so much on the 17th trip. It is becos its a "friend to friend trip". So the spending structure and mentality is entirely different. Notice also i didnt spell out any bro's nick initial from this thread or from other forums? I am a follower in the last trip from after day 2 onward, so it naturally cannot be counted in as normal spending.

I am sorry i cannot answer your question directly cos it will become irrelevant weighing from the situation as mentioned above. But under normal circumstances and base on my experience,i spend around S$200 per night staying in Batam which excludes ferry and w/o shopping. I do bring spare cash for the "in case of emergency" reason. After subsidised by my company claim on hotel room/s,some "entertainment" plus "earning back" my ferry tickets from my shopping at Batam Lucky Plaza ,my average rough gauge spending per night in Batam is about S$125 for one night. Lesser than S$100 if i dont stay in Formosa Hotel.

Girl : 600k/night (or 800k/night)
Tips : 150k/night (sometime 100k/night)
Taxi : 80k/night
Food : 100k for girl to eat
Toiletries : 50k
Total : 980k/night = S$100 base on 9800/SGD exchange rate
(exchange rate was between 9850/SGD to 9860/SGD during my 17th trip)

Its just a close rough guide of my normal spending in Batam,hehehe...see, i am afterall a stingy man who dont really like to pay more when i can pay less. And i doubled my spending on my 17th trip....*sob* (pains my heart deeply...lol)
