A bule's life in Batam
Hi bros. I have been on this tread for a while, but my only contribution has been answering a few questions to help out newbies every now and then. But since I'm bored I thought I'd write a little so called field report. Although its not specifically a field report, just what I do in Batam. Newbies may be able to glen a few tips on what to do, or not to do.
First off, I do not get girls from Booking joints. I don't know why, I guess I just enjoy the game of picking up. The chase. I've been to the joints to take my friends around but just haven't partaken myself. Btw, if bros need a map to the joints, several have been made, a little searching in this thread and you can find the maps. They are very useful. Many thanks to the bros that have taken time to make them. Anyway, back to me. I generally go to batam every week for a day or two. I've been doing this for about 6 months now. I have stayed in most of the nicer hotels in the Nagoya area (that's a really generous term to describe hotels in batam "nicer"). I particularly feel the Panorama and the I-hotel are the nicest two. Panorama is in kampong bule (NED) and I-hotel is near nagoya hills mall. Both have booking joints within easy walking distance. I speak almost no Bahasa, but language has never been a problem. There are some good translation apps and most ladies can speak a little English. So don't worry. Anyway, back to bule life in batam. My first trip to batam, I. Was just sitting at a place eating in a mall, and a girl dropped her number at my table. Wow, I thought, this place is going to be great. To bad the girl was not much of a looker, so didn't call, but it was a nice ego boost. Later, I went to NED to a bar, to hang out and have a couple of beers. First let me tell you, there are two kinds of bars, for the most part in NED, all have girls for you to chat with, but some are better than others. In some, the girls will come up to you and chat, but they do not ask you for anything (my kind of place), in others, they ask for drinks, which I don't mind, but then start asking for drinks for all their friends in the bar. This really irritates me, but since I'm a bule, I'm a walking ATM right. Usually, when this happens, I'll buy a round, then make for the exit. Even though the drinks are cheap compared to sing, it irritating. There are a few nice places to go where they don't do this, so look around. It's not worth it to buy a bunch of drinks and spend 6-700,000, to impress the girl. Even if she accompanies you back to the hotel, you will still end up paying some more for "shopping" money, so it's cheaper to just book. But as I say, booking is not my style. Shopping money, it's part of the game. The girls in the bars are different than the booking girls. They are not hookers, and they'll tell you so, but they do expect a gift, "shopping" money. Now, I'm not here to debate the difference, between the bar girls and the hookers, but just lets be clear, the bar girls go with you only if they want. They want it to seem more like a way to end the evening, "they are not hookers" at least in their minds, but they still expect a little gift. That's the game. It's fun and I like to play. The ktv's. I have been to some ktv's in Malaysia with a bunch of friends, but never in batam, so don't really know what to say. I see some choice ladies there and would like to partake, but generally, I'm by myself and don't know if booking a room at a ktv's by yourself is normal. If so, let me know, otherwise, if some bros what to book together please pm me. But know, I'm only in batam during the week generally Monday or Tuesday night. Just came back fm Batam. I went yesterday. Reached the Batam Ctr at 9.40am. Then I go confirm return ticket for Sunday. After that I went to MegaMall via the linking bridge. Went to change Sgp to Rp at the money changer and have a Mee Bakso noodle inside the Hypermart and buy Condoms. After that I walk outside. A lot of irritating taxi drivers pestering and touting me to take their taxi. Damn it. Damn irritating sia. I just say I don wan la and the taxi driver followed me. Grrrr. Then He ask me wan to go where? I ask Penuin BCS 35k can? He says cannot la. 50k he asked me. Inside my heart I say my foot 50k. Then I told him bang 50k can reach Nagoya already hor? Then I say tak mau sudah. I walk again. At the gate entrance a lot of drivers saw the commotion and one of the driver approached me and ask pegi mana bang? I asked Penuin BCS 35k boleh? He counter 40k la bang just extra 5k only? At that time the sky was dark and droplets of rain coming down already.
Seeing that the day is going to rain then I told him 40K? Ok can la. Faster its going to rain soon. Inside the taxi also we never chat much. Just kept quiet till reach destination. Along the journey it turn to heavy downpour. When I reached BCS it is still raining so I walk(jalan jalan) inside BCS. It was my 1st experience in BCS shopping mall. After the rain soothe down, I go out of the mall. Then got the same stupid irritating taxi drivers touting around. Ojek also tout me? Aiyo.. Really cannot tahan. In Singapore customer find Taxi but in Batam upside down already? Taxi looking for customer. So headache. I just wave my hand indicating don wan. Then I walk at the Eatearean Coffee shop. I saw Lovina Inn in front of A2 seafood place. Since it is my 1st time there I got difficulty in looking for the Harapan Baru Hotel. Till I called the hotel. They say it is behind. So I look around and walk one round until I saw the Harapan Baru Coffeeshop. Its just beside it. I took the deluxe rm. Not bad the room. Got window and got Fridge. Then it rain again. Have to wait the rain soothe. By the time the rain soothe around 2.30pm Wib. Being a budget trip, I went to the front of BCS and ask for ojek to bring me to Nagoya Hill shopping ctr. I asked him how much. He say normal rates. I ask him again Normal rate 10k right? He say ya. Once reached there I paid him and he left. Went in to Nagoya hill and topup my credit for my telkomsel prepaid card. Topup for 28k. Credit value is 25k only. After that I walk down to Formosa hotel area. Along the way like normal a lot of irritating taxi touts hailing at me. I just showed my hand indicating don wan. Once I crossed the road and reached the formosa area I walk around first. Got 1 taxi driver hailing at me Bang wan cewek? Got good and new one. I just wave my hand say no need. After did some walking I manage to find Queen main entrance. Went in and saw a lot of MILFs. Only got 1 about age 23 I think. I go near her and asked her if I book her, would she like it? She say mau la. Then I told the mummy I taking this one. She says wait a while she ready. The mummy says all the stocks are 500k each. So I paid. After she ready I told her I got no taxi. Have to look for taxi. She says behind got. We go out by the rear entrance. Once outside I saw Lak sana INN and Berry. I asked her taxi fare how much is it to goto BCS. She says normal is 30k. So I ready 30k. Once reach paid the taxi driver. We went up to my rm. Once inside the room, the colors starts to show? I think it is a very very big mistake to book her. I tried to kiss her. She says cannot she don't like to kiss. Then I tried to touch her breast also she says cannot. If wan to konkek then can touch breast. Wah lau eh. Really buay tahan and piss me off. Then she ask abg mau kongkek ngak. Ok la. After that she just walk off and leave me. Wahh syiok sia. Serve her right. After this incident I think I would not go to Queens again. Maybe other joints. I am just sharing what I experience here.
