it is clearly a kingdergarden level extortionist...the money had to be shared with the police (saw 2 polisi in the photo)....wonder how the bule gave the money???...the reporter should enlighten us....

Hi, I am planning to make a trip to Batam on a Sunday. I understand the fasting month has started and some massage places may be closed and makan places will openly sell only just before break fast time in the evening.

Could the more experienced brothers please advise what to expect during this period? Is it going to be so dull that it is not worth going until next month?

If there are still happening places, where are they usually found?

Ramadhan starts this Wednesday

Mas rileyhale its best to postpone your trip till after 8 August

Most eateries will be covered but still open to public

Nightspots are still open but will end early at 1am

Not sure what happened after that, I went out after watching awhile, didnt finish the whole drama. Later just heard that the bule got injured.

Entertainment? they are discreet. Massage are open also.

Makan places are open, at nite, they are open, afternoon? Nasi Padang are close. Malls have makan places open whole day. Chinese food still open, try Peniun, Nagoya, these places have food open whole day.

But all hours are shorter.

August 17 Is their national day. Alot of police looking for money after hari Raya holidays, cum one more holiday to spend also.
