Went to Batam (3days/2nights) with big brother AH HIA and his friend TAI. It was my good fortune that Bro AH Hia led the way. I got the best deals ..

Ferry: 8/10 Took the ferry WAVE MASTER by Berlian Ferries Pte Ltd from S'pore Harbour front to Batam Harbour Bay. Two ways at S$48. The ferrry was cleaned, steady, travelled at reasonable speed and the air con was cooling which make our one hour journey very comfortable.

Hotel: 7/10 We stayed 2 nights at Hotel Grand Central at 90,000 rp per night. It was CHEAP N GOOD. With this PRICE I did not expect much from them. Appended were the ratings..

Hotel and Room Appearance: 6/10
Bed, Mattress, pillows, towels: 6/10
TV: 3/10 some channnels very blurred
Hot Water:5/10 sometimes water not hot enough sometimes OK
Amenities: 3/10 washing hand detergent only. No toothbrush paste and soap.
Staff Service:9/10 very friendly, helpful and courteous.

Lunch: 10/10 We took our lunch in Pecel Lele Rest which was opposite Ranayana Batam Mall. The fried chicken and fish were Delicious and YUMMY. The sambal or chillies were heavenly. We cleaned it UP and it was so good we went back again the next day for our lunch. It cost only 90,000 rp for 3 persons. Drinks included.

Dinner:8/10 We had our dinners (2 Nights) at Windsor Food Court.

Stall 966: 8/10 We ordered Curry Chicken, egg omellette, fried sotong,prawns, vegge, 3 big bottles Beer and some drinks. Total Cost 420,000 rp for 5persons

Stall 138: 8/10 We ordered egg omellette, prawns, frog leg, vegge, sapo, 3 big bottles Beer, and some drinks. Total cost 390,000 rp for 6 persons.

Taxis: 9/10 With Big Brother Ah Hia bargaining power and experiences, we took the taxi around town at the cost of 20,000 to 35,000 rp for sometimes up to 6 persons per taxi.

Karaoke: 8/10 We went to Dynasty Karaoke besides the food court. 4 jars of Beer, 2 plates of tits bits and fruits, some soft drinks.Total 400,000 rp for 3 hours. The girls sang and danced seductively with Bro Tai. It was a enjoyable evening.
