Thanks for your reply and comment. Maybe this few months I have been in difficult way to go through and also have to in medications to control myself. Nearly want to end my life. Lucky I still got my relatives, friends and Bros here beside me. Thanks for you all to support me.

Now no matter what is the final result is. I have to accept it.

Dear Brother Big and Brothers here who can give me advice.

I am a machine operator with my monthly income $2000 to $2600 per month depending to my overtime.

My wise monthly income is $2700 per month (fix income).

I had one kid and I had paid maintenance fee for child per month is $520. Also I'll pay her incurance $50 (cash) per month.

I also pay my house electric, water and telephone bill total up is aroud $250 per month.

Money that give to my parents is $150 each.

Now my wife file the Family Court to ask me to pay her maintenance fee for $400 per month, I think I am not afford to pay that amount. Can I just tell the court that I am not afford to pay or what I should do? With my contidion, can please advise how much should I pay?

Also regarding my 3 room flat, it is under my wife and my name but I am the only person contribute to this flat, it mean all the cash+ cpf all paid by me, my wife never pay any single cents on this flat. After divorce, is it will divide to 50% 50%? (my wife want the child)

1. You were divorced under what circumstances?
2. How old is your kid?
3. Does your wife and yourself work shifts or simply office hours?
4. Answer to Qn.1&2&3 may help answer the care & control of your child.
5. How long have you been married?
6. Answer to Qn. 4&5 may help answer the fate and split of your flat...(it doesn't matter who contribute as I assume you put both your names as joint tenacy)
7. What's your monthly family expenses before your divorce/separation? And do you have proof?
8. $520 in maintenance for child currently was ruled by family court as part of your separation or just what you are giving unreservingly to your wife to maintain the kid. Looking at your salary, it's a little on the high side.
9. With answers to above, there will be more clarity to the maintenance to your wife.

Divorce is expensive at onset, and also in the long run. If you have the means to save your marriage now, do it. Do it for yourself and your kid.

I recently found out that my wife is seeing another guy, I saw those SMS between she n that that guy and I confronted her n she also admitted seeing him. With SMS I have taken photos of it, can it serve as evidence as adultery reason to apply for divorce ? We have 5yr old kid, n she also stated if divorce I will be the main caretaker of our kid. Furthermore do I still have to pay her monthly maintenance fees if she admitted adultery? Pls help me

From what I been told, even if she is guilty of adultery she still has right to claim maintenance from you. But since she is willing to give up rights to be main caretaker for your kids, you can probably fight for her part to be as low as possible especially if she is working. The best is to get her to deny her rights for maintenance and immediately put it down in writing. Like that in future she cannot come back and ask you for any money.

U facing the problem is about same with me. But I can tell you that those sms can't be use on a evidence. And if u want sue her under adultery, must have evidence from PI. U can sue her under other category ( check with your lawyer ). If you sue her under adultery, she will have a record. Cool down and discuss with your lawyer and your family members. So that u won't make any mistakes because of anger, stress and more.. Because I have go through this recently.

This will be a hard time for u to go through. Hope all the best to you.

Last month passing by the market place, a pretty Chinese girl looking liked a SIA girl captured my attention. She was with her ang mo BF, the usual my KP made me follow closely.

She asked him how come he is moving houses again, he all really shifted 7 times within 6 months. He cannot explain and my feelings. Probably he had high expectations on his rental units or he cannot accommodate his room mates.

So it come to mine senses, FTs could never be comfortable leaving with some body. Next, day in and out this people are planning of ways to have a long term stay in this country. Applying PR is the ultimate of all.

A question if he married his Singaporean GF, they go separate years later will his PR be affected? I pretty much think so. So the morale of the story. Which is the same with the segment on foreigner workers in the reddot.

It is frightening to a FT spouse whether male or female, divorce and he/ she will have to collect the passport and return home. Another nick if you feel this country.

Please check your facts before spouting your nonsense here. FYI, in divorce cases the PR of the spouse CANNOT be cancelled or revoked by the sponsor. This is provided for in the Womens Charter. The spouse can withdraw to be the sponsor but ICA will not revoke the PR. ICA will ask the PR to get another sponsor to replace the sponsoring spouse and if they are unable to find their own sponsor..... the Family Courts will appoint a "state sponsor" for them until the end of the divorce proceedings.
