I think most of the charity organisations are craps. took most of the donations for their own pay cheque. Better to walk the ground ourselves & hand over directly to the poor ppl we can see, around us, or maybe during our overseas trips.

Most charity around the world are quite crappy. You cannot help everybody, so the best is to help when u see one unfortunate person. When i stayed in HCM City last time, i will try to help if i encounter a begger on the street or in the market. 10,000VND (S$1) is already big sum to them already. This is the minimum i can do without going thru charity.

I used to donate regularly but after some incidents, y the f do I donate to pay peanut to the management?? I rather give money directly to someone who needs it or earn it.

ah..that famous girl in the VN war pix. Yes, it's in the market. She's quite a grown person now.. I didn't read the book but flipped it at the bookstore (and the synopsis in the newspapers). Recommended if u like history-facts & personal account stuff.

There's quite a few books in public libraries, esp on the VN war where US participated. Some movies too. All from US point of view, nevertheless.

Both formula can be used only before she gets to know u deep. Once she's aware of your job, your income, your kind of work, your background, your family, your home - essentially when she belongs to u legally - you cannot escape the options I proposed. U have to make 1 CHOICE at least... can't escape..

Rule number 1: Never ever ever let a girl know your true income and money you have. Always bring home the same amount no matter how many pay rise you have.

Be the girl is g/f, FB, mistress, wife, mother or grandmother... she can know everything about us guy, but most important is not to let her know how much CASH we have.

I will think that there's a few ways to understand the culture of Vietnam, but i recommend these few:

(1) Stay in Vietnam for a long period of time. Going there on short trips will take you a very long time to understand the place and people well. Even if you stay in Vietnam, u have to mix with the locals and go to places where they go. To understand more, a minimum of a few years is required.

(2) Read some books on the history and culture of Vietnam. It may help quite a bit, but still lacking in real life understanding.

(3) marry a vietnamese spouse and take a lifetime to understand. Most Singaporeans marry their viet spouses in Singapore, so it will take a long time for them to truely understand Vietnamese culture. But if communication is no problem, its always good to ask your spouse to explain certain aspect of their culture to you.

In vietnam is woman hv to work harder than man?

In my short trip to HCM, i saw their men either sit at coffee shop drink kopi, read newspaper or play chess.

What u see is what it is.. or else why are there so many Vietnamese WL in Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia and HK?
