Agreed; a lot of people now with credit cards bad debts. Happened to me before; luckily clear all my card now and I dont own anymore credit cards just debit cards will do. Got $ I spend; no $ lan lan stay at home. Really scare of the days where receiving lawyers letter

Long time since i have posted, just wanna quickly update and shared my journey of my wife ..

2008 - 2011 : Social Visitor Pass
2011 - 2012 : 1 yr LTVP
2012 - 2015 : 3 yrs LTVP+
2014 Aug - Make Appt for PR Application Submission.
2015 Feb - Submit PR Application
2015 July - PR In-Principle Approval.

Most will go thru debt during young. I am 1 of them too.

I remember when I first started work, earned about 2.5k, took home abt 2k n bought a car. Monthly installment itself was about 1k. Had UOB, SCB and DBS credit cards and credit line and all max out except DBS. Finally realised the problem, sold my car, called the banks to stop all and repay the banks within 2 yrs. Now left with 1 Amex and DBS Visa. Use them for hotels, flight booking n online purchase, the rest are cash. Now want to buy, must think twice or 3 times.... This Journey below to one of my friend but earn $12k plus in 2012 and own a 1 Condo and 1 HDB Flat before Marriage

2012 Dec Marriage
2013 Feb 1 yr LTVP
2013 Apr Apply PR
2013 May Reject PR (went to see MP)
2013 June Apply PR again (request to see the officer in charge)
2013 Oct Received PR Status

When he went down to ICA to see the officer in charge; he gave a lot a sarcastic remarks about ICA. I was shocked too when he show me his wife blue IC

I will put mine next year see how fast she could get her PR.

You didn't call up ICA to check or went to see the MP but Choa Chu Kang MP no power one? It about a year. It can't be that long

Now I know why my friend's BX get PR so fast. The more we pay the income tax and CPF; it more easier to get PR.

Also gahmen has record of those who checked in hotel with 2 ID...so this is in ICA record...they knew who you checked in with...
