Finally went to Batam alone from infos & posts of Bros.

Day 1.
Touched down at Hang Nadim around 10.30am. Took port taxi to Mercure Hotel (75K). Reached Mercure at 11.30am and recep say can check in. Good...

Decided to walk to Nagoya Hill for lunch. From Mercure, walked to WFC (10mins), then reached Farmosa (8mins) and turned left straight to Nagoya Hill. Overall 20mins of casual walk. After lunch around 2pm, walked to Gold Bird's aka Sedona.

it is still comparatively cheaper than the neighbouring countries..and also very near..45 mins and $48...
may be more and more people coming here because it is very strict now in little dot...
to save costs...take the silvercab taxi, stay in a 200k room, choose a reasonably priced cewe (this part is difficult), eat wisely..ask the price first..

Day 2.

Concurred with you. Johor bahru city area (bandaraya) has lost its charm as a sex entertainment place as it is getting more unaffordable to spend there. As long as every day the strong demand is still there, the price will keep on going up. Therefore it is really not worth going to JB KTV anymore.

However those days in the 80s and 90s there used to be a trend where many papaya farm (bars/music lounge) opened in JB taman sentosa and pelangi areas. Bar hostess will sit with you the whole night just tip them rm20 = S$8 will do. Another group of girls will come to your room to do "show". Allow you to fine tune radio and roam papaya but need to give rm10 to each girl you roam. And one night spend in these joints cost you the most rm200 = S$80 inclusive of beers, food, tips and room. If you want to do ST with the bargirl, then need to go nearby hotel at rm130=S$54. All these farms are totally wipe out in late 90s.

OK now, just calculate these 12 years where I have been cheonging in Batam. In year 2000, I just paid Rp150K for booking of gal and now on average, most bros pay about Rp600K for booking base on this forum report. That means we are paying more than 300% in 10 year now. Bro, agreed with your calculation. Within a 12 years period, the cost of booking cewek increased from 150k to 600k which is a 300% increased in the price.

Singapore inflation is low at average 3%. But maybe in Batam is 8%. (give it the worst scenario). Therefore for 12 years, batam's inflation should be 8 x 12 = 96% (approximately 100%)

This figure suggests that it should be about 100% increased in price for the cost of booking cewek which is 150k + 150k = 300k rupiah maximum taken into account the inflation of 8% for 12 years period.

But booking joints are now charging 500k-600k instead which does not match the inflation at all.

These joints in batam take advantages of the strong demand of cewek by singaporean/malaysian to push up their prices.

The way i see it (as consolation) is that not many cheong places can have a gal with u for almost 24 hrs and with unlimited bonk (still manageable damages). Except Batam and several nearby Indonesia island. And Hatyai too.
