You wouldn't enjoy this real cowboy town......

. Food is expensive.
. Hotels have no swimming pool, even if there is a swimming pool, you wouldn't want to swim in it.
. Gym is unheard of.
. When going to disco, watch your drinks man, otherwise you end up shaking your head in approval, along with the loud noise, some call music.
. You don't see police, but see guns on men without uniform, sometime you wonder why no crime. Go figure out this.
. Most, if not all gals are 'protected'.

Ohhh !. It is "pretty' safe to visit Danok. All you gotta do is take a Hatyai plane and taxi to Danok or Hatyai.

But Hatyai is boring. I usually fall asleep there !.

But no English spoken there in the border towns or villages ( Hatyai and Danok ).

It is safe in Hatyai and Danok, except Narathiwat, Yala which the muslim insurgents are active. But Sg.Golok is a "hot" place where you may get bombed in the outskirts and a "hot" place for pretty ladies. I had 10 years experience there.

Your English or Korean would not lead you anywhere .You either must learn Thai, Laos, Mandarin or Kia kee miang Hokkien which i don't think you can.

You MUST learn from what etct88 said about Danok. What he said are all very true.

Care to meet up in Danok ?. Good place to unwind and to release your small soldiers !!!.

Just my 2nd trip to this cowboy town, plan to go this coming weekend, any recommendation for nice hotel with safe deposit box in room. Last trip stayed at Grandview Satit, though a decent hotel but no safe deposit box, very inconvenient.
Also worry to bring gal back to room for overnite.

Notice few cheongsters here stayed at PP hotel, is it clean and nice? Where is it located actually?
