Oscar Palace Hotel is still there. The 2 Porn Channels are no longer freely available. You have to call the front office to tell them you want to access the XXX channels. One for English and the other for Asian (mostly JAV).

He had been teling me about Dannok for years.
Finally I took the plunge and decided to do Dannok during my recent Thailand tour from South to Central and back to South again.

As your question is very general, my answer will also be the same.
Very different scene between Bangkok and Dannok.

Bangkok is the most sophisticated in all genres of cheonging.
Dannok is more laid back.
Very suitable for sex marathon athletes who go to KFC Farms to pick girls for Overnight.
Even though price has risen over the years but I still find it reasonable if compared to Bangkok.
No Soapy Massage Parlours in Dannok.
You've to go Hatyai City for that.

Its close proximity to Malaysia (especially for Penang and Kuala Lumpur cheongsters) makes cheonging in Dannok more economical by just driving.
But that doesn't mean no Singapore cheongsters drive up to Dannok also.
I personally know one uncle who does that frequently or at least used to.
He's active on this thread also.

Dannok Town is like Changping Town in Dongguan City, China.
Hotels and Entertainment establishments are very concentrated together.
Dannok is a very small version of Changping, Dongguan.
