1. The VISA thingy I guess mainly only affect visitors who holds SIN passports...most of rest of the nationality got to apply for VISA to get entry into mainly anyway..so I guess it doesn't really affect the tourist rate much.

2. For the increase TAX, aiyah u know where most of these $ goes to...so do u think these people will care about how many factories had or going to close down? Somehow or rather there will be new ones emerge in time...

3. These publications against drugs and prostituion is mainly to show some 门面功夫.But in true fact, like what Bro Sino says...if the local authorities really go hard on these raids and restrictions..then many many related industries will be affected & in turn the China economy as a whole. It might also be a way to get these 娱乐场所to收廉一点during this Olympic period. I think this big event and foreign paparazzi really posted a big headache for the china government & authorities.

1. Security Issue. Many foreign intelligences esp the US n Britain have been feeding China wif info on terrorist attack, kidnap, bombing etc during this Coming Olympic. The chinese listen but did not take any drastic measure till their own "Total Intelligent Failure" when the well planned Tibetian riot broke out in March. It was a total intelli disaster in case history like the 911.

Suppose if just ONE of the many feedbacks fm the foreign intelli just turn out to be trued. The whole international community ll blame china for that. Who can take such a blame ?

Knowingly it ll cause lots of inconvenient for many n money lost..the china gov which r usually veri money face, bite the bullet n go ahead wif this "stringent" visa measure. This is just a small price to pay for Security.... Dont U think so ?

2. This is a very well planned n thoughtful "wealth distribution policy". The biggest problem China has today is the income gap between the rich n the poor. The rich coastal cities n their surrounding provinces like Guangdong, Zhe Jiang, Jiang Su, Tian jin etc versa the inner poor provinces like Gui zhou, An hui, Yunnan, Gangsu etc etc so many of them. The investments in the "developed" provinces r increasing everyday causing millions of migrant workers to move fm the poor provinces to the prosperous south n the mid east. This result in many inconvenience n unhappyness for the people of the poor province.

Moving some industries to the poor provinces ll certainly help the bridge the level of delevopment.

The uneven Tax policies r formulated to encourage labour intensive, low tax, lower margin industries to help resolve the biggest problem the China is facing today.

The manual laborers on the street in the likes of DG ll make noise becos of their ignorant of the big picture. Arel U too ?

Last weekends, while walking near Wal-Mart area (actually it is a street behind Wal-Mart), found a row of Japanese pubs/bars (closed door type with no window to look in) and a few sexy mei mei standing outside the pubs/bars..... I have asked around when drinking at Hollywood pub... the bar-tender girls told me those japanese pubs/bars are also "happening" place.... as Japanese are more wild type and those bars/pubs cater for those people... hahhaha .... anyone tried before?
