HCMC economy is not realli make much sense ... economy down but rate of ST and LT has recently increased ... nowadays dunt be surprised to be quoted USD 100 and USD 150 for ST & LT respectively. Tot when consumers pokkai, the service providers would give discount ... but seemed not the case here. Tat's why me now go for non-WL type ... more cost effective but can be quite sticky (and of course less variations).
Haha no logic at all. Anyway they have the built in non negotiable and stubborn attitude all the while.

What's up with that man? If that does not put you off, then Listen to them speak, they are like always yelling (not speaking) and having this nasal tone which i make when i am shitting, not speaking.
Funny though, my mates always share with me the thrill of a anticipated good commercial deal as they board tiger airways but have so often express disappointment as they board vinasun taxi back to the airport. "For that money i spend over the last 4 days, i would have a much better time in Singapore or even in the region. Vietnam is FXXX SXXX man, " they curse. In short , even if it is commercial, the girls are not providing services at a regional standard.
"What abt the disco," I asked,"isn't the nightlife ok here. Many tell me it good!", i protested
"Dude, have you been back to Singapore, u been to live impact, been dragonfly- that is entertainment, you pay but you get a good time- Its value we are talking here!", exclaim one of them!
So in the end, I think if you guys are out in here in Vietnam, do moderate your expectation-- its not going to be great.
Haha bro I share your sentiments about the Vina Lians. The finger jamming into the feet really takes the cake!
I've not been back to HCMC since March 2009. Will be temporarily retired from the HCMC scene as the regional countries offer me better and value for money cheong/entertainment. Might revisit once in a blue moon though.

The country needs another 5 years to catch up in terms of social scene. If you want HCMC 5 years ago, Cantho, Rach Gia or some of the provnicial cities will be that best model. Right now, i think HCMC is like Batu Pahat, in 5 years, it will be JB. Having said that, in 15 years though, i think HCMC will have glimpses of shanghai.
But all in all,i think the standard and comfort level of the Vina Lians that Singaporeans are used to can be found in joo jiat already. Coming to the mothership in Vietnam is not necessary a good thing. It is unlike thailand or china where you need to go in-market. Vietnam is export driven.
Some of us have been out too long and we don't explore the scene back in Singapore enough. My mate was sharing with me that as Singapore becomes a education hub, more and more students from the region go to Singapore to study, the girls they meet at the club these days are really regional. Apparently, clubs like Areana, Double O and even Butter Factory is very popular to Viets, Kazahs, Indon and Chinese students. These girls are out to play and being immerse in the Singapore enviroment, they can communicate with you, laugh at your jokes and maintain their charm of being Vietnamese, indons etc...
So my personal advice is please don't come here. It is really waste time. The goods are really in our own backyard already!

But well, if you still want crappy handjobs and not great sex, try out this street
nguyen phi khanh- Cat Toc Nam( cut hair man). 100k room, 100k HJ. If you have a foreskin, they might just yanked it off!
3A Nguyen Dinh Chieu- Hotel where the chicks are in there already, just pay the pimp and go up. Free STD and Aids for repeated customers. 400k all in.
Have a good one boys.
Thank you for sharing...a different kind of comments and one that let us remember that there are always not so good and bound to happen to cheongster who play the field...key word is to moderate expectation...

Your comments were well researched and good points...afraid that too expensive to cheong the scenes you had mentioned...oso gals that can afford to come here to study from Vn are usually rich parents...these students had been discussed quite detail in another thread "Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner"
I am not optimistic that Vn can catch up in terms of social graciousness in 5 years time....in my opinion give them 10 years oso may not...oso in 15 years time hcm cannot be like Shanghai...it takes alot of investment to get to that level...

A night out in Singapore is really not expensive but good value these days. I think there has been a evolution. It used to be expensive but not anymore. I share a few known places i get great value. New Asia Bar , the highest bar in Singapore on the 71st floor on Thursdays- 1 bottle of Moet is only $75 sing dollars nett. Double O, 3 dollar carlsberg beers still available- the catch is the cover charge at $25 Sing, even Zouk, during happy hour or their 1 to 1 mid night madness, you are paying about $7 sing for a beer or hard liqour. In terms of bottle prices, the cost of 1 bottle at a disco in Singapore is about $180to $250. For some place like balaclava, bar stop, Zirca and even Arena you can get it for $150.I compare the environment and service and company i get and i feel i get value in Singpaore.
Back in HCMC, the common singaporean hangouts like royale or catwalk is charging $100,000VND a glass of whisky which is about 9 bucks sing. Not cheap at all. What i think is value for money in Vietnam is beer. The prices of beer here is really affortable.
In terms of nightlife, my sense is that HCMC is overpriced for the quality that the city provides. Regionally, they can't match up to BKK and even with Singapore as a comparison, HCMC becomes very "not worth it ah" when we talk value.

BKK member clubs definitely gives you value for money. I find liquor prices in HCMC are almost on par if not even more expensive than Singapore. Not my kind of ideal price I could get in BKK.
No doubt local brews like 333 beer is really cheap but tastes very diluted. LOL.
I think you have made some good comments about life here in Saigon.
I always have a good laugh with some of my Vietnamese friends when i am back in Paris. Believe me, even they are amused by how ridiculous the scene in Saigon is.
Pricey half-baked cocktails, bad crowd on most nights, irritating clubbing antics, early closures, bad music....the list just goes on. Then you have the ladies - usually nice if they dont ever speak and of course, you gotta look past the dowdy dress sense. (Slutty just went out of fashion in the late 90s).
Personally, the best clubbing spots in Asia are Japan and Singapore. You have a good cosmopolitan crowd, good music and most importantly, options. There is this level of sophistication that puts any well-travelled expat at ease. In addition, there is always the thrill of a pick-up, where a witty and charming comment still counts for something.

According to my Shi Fu, anything is possible. It just depends on whether the girl wants to anot.
It all depends on your negotiation skills as well as how many Uncle Ho's you have in your wallet. Chances will be higher if they were Benjamin Franklin instead.
Many thanks for ur help.. thanks to ur shi fu too
