Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
That was after the stadium deaths incident when LFC were banned.... coincidentally during that period the manager was Kenny Dalgish.... maybe it's written in the stars that KD got no "yuan" with European football.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Put it this way.
CL for Liverpool - a world-wide brand that virtually exist in all parts of the world is not an option but a minimum requirement .. We basically generate more revenue than most clubs. Last season performance was not realistic in any way. Nevertheless, the season is over, kk has left..move on and see who will lead us next season better or worse we still never walk alone. ....recently read alot of news of so many rumored trfs to us ...not sure the next mgr will like them tough..has to get him in soon rather than later.

On the other hand AVB has confirmed he is considering both offers from Roma and Liverpool. He will only accept the offer if the club agrees to his "long-term planning" approach to rebuilding his own team. Fans of Rafa Benitez has set up a website to support RB's desire to return to LFC. They have started a petition to John Henry to consider RB. RB himself has also sent an email to John Henry. Fabio Capella has not ruled himself out from the Anfield vacancy although he is plumbing for the Chelsea seat. In an interview he has reportedly said that he wants to manage a club in the BPL. He is hoping that Chelsea will make him an offer but if that doesn't materialise, he will consider other offers including Liverpool. All the others on the shortlist have rejected Liverpool's approach. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Interesting deverlopment
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...summer?cc=4716 Guardiola open to job offersMay 25, 2012 Outgoing Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has given Liverpool and Chelsea hope by confirming he is open to approaches this summer. Pep Guardiola: One of Europe's most gifted coaches Guardiola will step down as Barcelona chief at the end of the season, and it was expected he would stay out of the game for at least a season in order to rest. However, the Spanish boss, a reported target for the Anfield and Stamford Bridge clubs, has revealed he would be willing to return to football sooner than had been anticipated. "For the next months I have to charge my batteries," he said. "I will rest and I will wait. I will be ready, if one club wants me, if they seduce me, I will train again." Guardiola won three successive La Liga titles at Camp Nou, lifting the Champions League trophy in 2009 and 2011, as well as subsequently winning the FIFA Club World Cup on two occasions. He revealed last month that he was to leave Barcelona, citing the stress-inducing pressures of the top job at one of the world's leading clubs. Assistant Tito Vilanova will take over from him next season. Champions League winners Chelsea are expected to have a better chance than Liverpool of enticing Guardiola, with owner Roman Abramovich reportedly an admirer. The Reds, who are in talks with Wigan manager Roberto Martinez, are likely to be keeping a keen eye on the situation, however. Won't it be interesting if he comes to Liverpool . But the question will the owners have the money for him to buy the players he wants ?

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
If he dun make noise how is he going to dump his "talented" manager who can only fight relegation during his 2 seasons with them.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Whelan has always been a typical SkySports Fuckerson ass kisser.
that is why every year I hope Wigan get relegated. Very very depressed to see Martinez edge closer to taking over, these last 3 years have been really difficult for us and I don't see it changing. Martinez, nice bloke, prove me wrong please! |

But hope is always there as Liverpool is a club with big tradition n history.. so lets hope that might sway his interest to Merseyside... As for e players that he wants....hes got a proven record of buying n getting e most of most of e players under his care n so that might get e owners to to let him shop all he wants as im sure evrybody knows this chap knows what hes doing...unlike our previous gaffers who buys players like buying 4d...lots of tikam bola..some may hit but many more ended up being mis-hits... Very anxiously waiting whos goin to b e next boss..;0)...my thoughts by order of possibilities No 1) RB No 2) AVB No 3) Joachim Loew No 10) Guardiola No 100)Roberto Martinez ( haha...it is a real joke this guys name is hot among the shortlisted candidates ) |
