I support u! Even if i go with u to this place and find it not good, i also cant blame u cos u also experience the same lousy service....
When u come back sgp, i bring/direct u to a cheap pub but service good or not, its subjective... I often go there

Re: Vietnam - HCM
I think we must appreciate the help of the ppl and not take for granted.
i also try to tell my friends when i bring them to clubs or MCP not to have high hopes. Each individual will have different experiences and likings. Whatever reccomendations just go with a open mind. From this forum's help, i had explored quite a few places. Thanks to the seniors' help here and i know Reaper had been a constant help from reading the posts here. I try to provide those places which is quite happening with FR. Whether is good or not good is open to own opinions. Thats why we have this forum to post FRs and discuss. But like wendalla mentioned before sometimes is difficult to refer back to old posts cos the viet naming streets are hard to pronounce, spell and remember.. But i had now learned to be clever...whatever place and address was mentioned i try to note down, or copy paste to a excel sheet so i wont missed it again. |

Re: Vietnam - HCM
Sorry Bros, i am going to HCM this coming July 2009. I wish to enquire on something.
My friend is going over to HCM to meet his vietnam lover. Heard that Viets are not allow to stay overnight in the same hotel room with a foreigner? Is this true? If so, what good hotel do you guys suggest? Does the hotel allow Vietnam girl to book a room by herself and stay there? So that at night my friend can go over to find her. Thanks for the reply from all experts. Thanks in advance. |

In SBF it is very normal where some people make use of you to become tour guide, gather free info and FL contacts. Majority of those that TCSS a lot are actually the ones providing the most info. Haha I know you don't like Club Sixteen. Me too! Sixteen 16 Le Quy Don, P6, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam By the way are there any newly opened babi shops in your neighbourhood lately boh? Hahahaha. Last edited by Tony Stark; 30-05-2009 at 02:05 AM. |

No...we say it to scare newbies so that they will have a boring time in HCMC If the above statement is true, how to suggest good hotel??? Quote:
In vietnam, dosent matter you foreignor, local, alien, watever...as long as you not married, it is against the law forpeople of different genders cannot reside in the same room after 9pm / 11pm, cant remember wat time. and itthe penalty is either a fine and or free lodinging and food at their "Re-Education" centre. BTW, according to Xiaolang07, he mentioned that Sheraton Saigon stops at 6pm. And to answer the next question you will ask, THERE ARE NO GIRL FRIENDLY HOTELS IN VIETNAM. most 3 star hotels and all 4 / 5 star hotels will not allow you to bring girls up to your room. 2 Star and below most of the time will allow you. HOWEVER, Tonight can bring back to your room dosent guarantee that you can do it tomoro night again. It depends on if the hotel decides to close one eye. It gets abit difficult expecially just before, during and after public holidays. And to answer your last question, below are some links. www.a-emhotels.com www.thienxuanhotel.com.vn |

Re: Vietnam - HCM
Just came back from supper x-club and supper at tan hai van......
Know a syt from x-club and had supper with her...... I think to know the viet girls u just have to have a eye contact first and approached them.... Or else try the dance floor...... But becareful that they dont have bf with them else they can be quite rowdy and fierce.... There are 3 places to go for supper or dim sum after clubbing..... Hoang thanh (huang chen in chinese) 77-89 nam ky khoi nghia - quan 1 The dishes are considered on the high end, but u must try their some kind of a fried fish with banana, i dont know how to call it, my girl ordered it once...quite nice. Tan hai van (my fav, xin hai yun in chinese) 162 nguyen trai quan 1 (becareful ngyuen trai is a long stretch of rd that can connect district 5 also, but just mentioned the name tan hai van and district 1 shld be ok) The dim sum is good on my personal opinion. You can bio alot of babes who also after clubbing go there, can get to know some of the babes there. Quite crowded and the waiter and waitresses can speak cantonese Dinh Ky opp tan hai van Got more seafood variety to choose from.... same as tan hai van can bio babes.... All the above, waiter and waitresses can speak chinese and canto cause its oriental based so no worries about ordering by chinese or canto and some of the vn naming food also follows canto (exp har kaw, siew mai, xa xiu bao, something like that my vn no good, cant spell). They are other small stalls that sells porridge, noodles, pho etc. But is strictly not much variety which means whatever they have, u must eat. |

However, I've been to Hanoi, Haiphong and HCM with my bx multiple times... and we've stayed at 11 different hotels almost all 3star. Each time what happens is she just goes up to the counter and registers herself, myself, handover both passports. The receptionist bundles them up and puts it into the safe, we don't pay a cent. Take the key, go up to the room and make WHOOOPIE, come and go as we please. On the last day, say we're checking out, pay up hotel fee, collect passport, leave a 100,000vnd tip and go off. I've been starting to wonder if the rules still apply. Because in "strict" hanoi and "traditional" Haiphong, like no big deal. And honestly, 99 in 100 vietnamese know i'm not vietnamese. Most of her friends ask if i'm Korean or Chindonesian, rather than Chinese. FYI, I have a pasty-white complexion.. like uncooked pastry. Hahaha. Perhaps been lucky so far.
