Re: Vietnam - HCM
If you're in District 5 and you're craving for good food at reasonable prices,
just drop by Dong Nguyen(at the junction of Chau Van Liem and Nguyen Trai). You can't miss it; it's very crowded during lunch and dinner. Their specialty is steamed chicken rice(not oily) with kampong chicken. The menu is very extensive - char siew, roasted suckling piglet, various types of soup, etc. Don't leave HCMC without trying it. |

Re: Vietnam - HCM
Guys, as Ive mentioned in a previous post I will be in Vietnam - hcmc to be exact, from Nov the 1st. The last time I was there I meet up with a fellow samster. We went to a few massage parlours which was good. Hopefully this time, I will be able to meet a few more.
The difference with this trip is that I will bring my gf along (her first trip overseas and to vietnam). So I would like to meet up with someone who perhaps has a partner, would make eating out and drinking a little easier for me since I can talk to you and she can talk to your partner - haha. I will cheong when I can get away from the gf. Let me know if anyone is keen. |

Re: Vietnam - HCM
taking deptrai advice i shall post a report, yesterday i and a few guys from Wsg met to check out fortune 700 ktv at 700 tran hung dao, which has been commented on previously. Im not that experienced at KTv but the shop seems pretty legit and high end so not much padding of the bill but its not value fr money i feel. 5 guys went in and think 12 maybe more beers were consumed at 42k each, then there was the room charge, fruit platter and the charge for the girls....this is before the tip to the girls. I gave mine 200k, but she asked for another...im think 200k is standard, but i wasnt in the mood to quibble over 100k so i agreed. So all up the total bill was 2.5 mill and 300k tip for each girl....one of the guys was advised to give the mommy 300k and the waiter 100k.
The girls are quite attractive but nothing exceptional that i cant find in disco and coffee shops, i didnt do any groping as there was company, and i didnt ask for numbers as i didnt want to take it any further. All in all its a good night, but for the experience, its not value for money. |
