Yes hcm had changed alot in the past 2 years. I had continued to visit and cheong hcm till now. Still like vietnam gal more than any other nationalities.

First time travel to HCM and you may have lots of questions you wanted to ask. Here are some basic questions and simple answers for first timers.

Disclaimer: This is a personal effort and sometimes results may be different due to changes which may have not being updated.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

- Which airline flies directly to HCM?
Answer – Daily there are Tiger, Jetstar, Lion Air, Garuda, Vietnam Airlines, Singapore Airlines flying directly to HCM.

- How long is the flight?
Answer – Flight time is approximately 1hour and 40minutes.

- What currency is used in HCM and where can you exchange?
Answer – The currency used is Vietnam Dong (VND) and can be exchanged at the arrival hall or money changer in goldsmith shops around Cho Ben Thanh or in D1, D3, D5, and D10. The money changers in the latter places will give you better rate than the airport arrival hall. Normally you should change SGD50.00 in the airport upon arrival just to pay taxi fare.

What official language is spoken?
Answer – The official language spoken is Vietnamese or Tieng Viet.

- Upon arrival which taxi is safe to take to the hotel and how much?
Answers – On arrival, you can take Vinasun and Mai Linh taxis which charge by meter located on the left of the arrival hall or departure hall. It cost approximately 100,000vnd to hotels located in District 1, 3, 5 and 10.

- Which hotels are girl friendly?
Answer – Most of the 4 and 5 stars hotels are not girl friendly. Some of the 3 stars and 2 stars are girl friendly hotels. For a list of girl friendly hotels, please look for Hurricane88 signature in SBF and mouse over the signature and click on it to check. I suggest you made hotel reservations for rooms before you arrive HCM. Most of the hotels have their websites and you can view them online before making reservation.

- How to get your girl to a non girl friendly hotel?
Answer – You need to reserve a room under her ID and just use only one room.

- What document is needed for the girl to go to your hotel room?
Answer – The girl needs to produce their ID in order to go up to your hotel room.

- Where are the restaurants located?
Answer – There is plenty of restaurants located in HCM city. For a list of restaurants recommended, please look for Hurricane88 signature in SBF and mouse over the signature and click on it to check.

- Where are the pubs, bars, discos, KTVs, etc?
Answer – For a list of entertainments such as pubs, bars, discos, KTVS, etc, please look for Hurricane88 signature in SBF and mouse over the signature and click on it to check.

- Is it safe to travel in taxis and which taxi company should I travel in?
Answer – Travel in taxis are usually safe and Vinasun and Mai Linh taxis charged by meter. Most of the taxi drivers don’t speak other than Tieng Viet prepare to give them the address written in Tieng Viet.

- Where to find girls who can accompany you to hotel?
Answer – Most of the bars in Hai Ba Trung have girls who can accompany you to hotel. Just have to speak to the mamasan who normally speaks Mandarin, Cantonese or some English to request specifically fpr girls to accompany you to go out. Pay the bar fine and then pay the girl directly. The charges estimates around USD100.00 for short time and USD150.00 for long time.

- How much to pay the PRs in the disco?
Answer – The amount should be around 200,000 to 500,000vnd. It all depends which discos you go to.

- Can the PRs in the discos accompany you to hotel?
Answer – It all depends on the girl. You can ask the girl directly and negotiate the price.

- Can the PRs or hostess in the KTVs accompany you to hotel?
Answer - Just have to speak to the mamasan who normally speaks some Mandarin, Cantonese, English to request specifically for girls to accompany you to go out. Pay the KTV fine and then pay the girl directly. The charges estimates around USD100.00 for short time and USD150.00 for long time.

- Around 2am to 3am, where to find girls?
Answer – At this time, you still can find girls at the Tan Hai Van or DINKY restaurants having supper. See any girl you are interested, just walk over to ask for phone number after making eye contact. Call or SMS the girl after you leave and be prepared that most can only speak Tieng Viet and simple English, Mandarin or Cantonese.

- Is it safe to book the girls from the motorbike pimps?
Answer – No, these girls normally don’t give good service and steals from you when you are sleeping.

- Do we need to change some USD in Singapore to bring to HCM?
Answer – Not necessary. Just bring SGD. If you do have USD then use them to settle hotel bills. Otherwise just pay in VND.

Again, the rates is on the high side. PRs normally, tip is 100k to 300K. I always tip 100k to 200k depending on the time spend on me.

Again, the rates is on the high side. PRs normally, tip is 100k to 300K. I always tip 100k to 200k depending on the time spend on me.
