guys as a long term resident id be horrified if u guys follow sunspots guide on prices follow naemlo guide and even that is only for a happy experience, if the girls are bitches or difficult they should get less...the 100-200 for PR is right and 60-100 ST/Lt is also correct
also as to moto girls..if u can control thetuation and are not a total pussy then u can also use these girls but expect some BS

man u are too generous..if all samster are like u i wouldnt mind howimng them around...the only problem is if u dont have transport then its a major issue as most places hidden away..only xe om driver who work in that particular area know of them so u ant simply ask the driver and if u do u will be lead to black shops. If u can a bike then please PM me and i can show u, but if ur aone a week tour...and a first timer its too much work for me as i dont want to be a pro bono chauffer tour guide....best just pay d1 prices but please dont start paying 150 usd overnight or tipping 500k for PR as as a comparison i can get 19yr olds for 700k overnight and part timers for 1mill overnight...also i tip fortune 700 girls 200-300k, ie i tipped her 200 and she asked for extra 100k, because she is used to ur 500k tips
just think most people have to work 2 weeks 10hr days for 500k!!! and this girl talks with u for 2-3 hrs and makes that kind of money?

Regarding tips for PRs.

For PRs you find in places like Discos, bars (Napoly, Lodge Bui etc etc) VND100K - 200K would be norm.

For PRs you find in Bia-Ohms / "Nha Hang" it would already be VND200K.

For PRs in KTVs like Fortune 700 minimum would be VND300K. Vietnam faces a high inflation rate and hence the girls would ask for more. When I first came here some years back, KTVs like t o kyo, pay VND200K now go minimum pay VND300K. What time you go can also be a factor on how much you have to tip.

I do know of many foreignors who come here and throw money around in the KTVs where they tip VND500K.

The above are the "standard" prices you have to pay for D1,D3 and some places in D5.

Back in Singapore, tipping a girl SGD$30 - $50, many guys do it without blinking. Just because it is Vietnam, does not necessarily mean it is cheaper.

I would say "standard" ST rates would be anything from USD$50 and up. For over night, expect to pay at least USD$100. Dont be surprised that the girl open mouth price would be USD$300.

But, she quotes high prices most probably she dosent want the guy' business.

reaper u gave me the address for the 500k place which i found later was on hurricaines list...but i havent tried that place because near my house i get bike girls thats are super cute for 300k so i havent experimented. I think if u go to local places like bia om and local kareoke then 200k is ythe standard as i spoke to local contacts regarding prices...fortune 700 is 99% frequented by foreigners so the girls expect higher tips, though when i went there some of my group gave 200k and the girl was content...its a qustion of how pretty she is and how money hungry but 300k would be more the expected price..and thats why i wont be going there as i dont really need the advantages of a chinese speaking PR girl. I was told of bia oms in q6 where the girls get naked and dance on tables. I have never been but i heard that u cant expect model looks, but im assuming they are acceptable based on a few vids i have seen. I will field test and report back to anh deptrai

The local rate is HJ/BJ with unlimited groping for a VND 50.000 - VND 70.000 tip. Game over when you release, of course. All in with a ca phe sua da, VND 100,000 still got change!

Disclaimer: I'm typing just the initials for the street names because I don't want to get anyone into unnecessary risk or trouble. Some of these places are in real backwaters and I wouldn't want anyone to be there by themselves on a rented bike not knowing the area at all and looking very much like a lost foreigner. Pardon my saying this but some would kill for much less than you think. Nevertheless if you go, I suggest that you go at least in a pair (2 guys on 2 motorbikes) with at least one of you able to speak VNese. You should go with an 'open mind', be polite but on your guard. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy!

Thank you for sharing. I think you had rightly described the cafe oms scenarios in hcm. I also think you had being rewarded for patronising these places.

As Reaper said, those are the "standard" rates we are familiar with.... as Foreigners in Vietnam.

Just my humble opinion, but if you negotiate with Vietnamese whores in Vietnam using US Dollars, you are already on the losing end. Today its VND 17,800 to the USD, tomorrow its VND 19,000. Well... not really these days, but you always get more VND than the official rate by exchanging on the black market (goldsmith shops, etc.) so you're actually assuring her of a nice tip on top of the "standard" rates.

Why don't we negotiate rates in Geylang or Joo Chiat in USD? The USD has gone down recently anyway in comparison with the SGD.

Just kidding. This is Vietnam. Negotiate and pay in Vietnam Dong.
