Honestly, these places aren't great. More of a low-budget backup plan, at best. Check out the link in Hurricane88's signature for some places that are better. Christmas time is actually a fun time here, they really go all out here decorating and the tradition is for everyone to drive around on motorbikes downtown (surprise surprise) for those evenings around Xmas. Very festive. For a place with relatively few Christians/Catholics, they sure do go for Xmas. One thing that's really charming is that they dress their little kids up in Santa outfits and ride around with the little kid standing between mom and dad on the motorbike -- must be great fun for the kid. Some fake snow scenes downtown at Nguyen Hue... Definitely a cool thing to see. Have fun.
