cheaper for you to use your overseas activated atm card or credit card at atms to draw out yen. The atm fees is pretty low and exchange rate is good (better than money changers). Best to withdraw from your deposit/checking account so can avoid credit card advance cash charge.
Just go to 7-11s, almost all of them got atms inside which you can use a foreign card with.
