Where has TS gone...missing his story

Helen started to take leave very often and was always stay at home with me. I try to talk to her asking her not to take leave often. But she just won't listen. With her contract ending in six months time , this is not the kind of exit she should make even thg she doesn't have any intention of continuing in this line of work.

Helen " I am starting my no pay leave next week "

Me " no pay leave ? Are you going overseas for long holiday ? "

H " no ! "

Me " are you unwell ? "

H " no "

Me " we talk abt this after dinner , let's finished up "

Helen stood up suddenly from the dinning table and went to the sofa .

I called for the maid.

Me " we are done , get us some hot Chinese tea pls "

Even the domestic helpers could sense that a storm is coming soon , just by looking at our body expression.

The arrived at the coffee table.

Me " that would be all, go have your dinner and retried for the night"

The maid quickly took her leave after she stole a glance at Helen face.


Me " so what happen at work baby ? "

H " nothing "

She continue to stare into the TV set.

Me " u stress at work ? "

Helen " I told u I want to quit and break my bond , u discouraged me to do so what ! "

I keep silent . Helen started to cry.

I gave her a tissue and pass her a cup of hot tea to calm her down.

After she calm down I asked further ....

Me " is this abt me or you ?"

Helen " a bit of both "

She went on ....

H " I can't loose u Charles , after u got into the accident I sat down to think and I got worried"

Me " baby is just an accident " I promise u no more bikes "

H " is not that , I want to be around u Charles , I don't want to fly anymore."

Me " u don't work then what u want to do "

Helen " Charles , I don't need to work. In fact u need not work too. U don't have to worry I can support u. U don't have to worry what ppl say ! "

I took a sip of the tea and was deep In thg .

Me " ok baby since u not happy . Tomorrow u go back office and cancel your no pay leave and submit your resignation letter.

Helen Jump over to myself and hug me . Kissing me all over my face,

I just spent the whole afternoon and evening reading everything, from pg 1-158. U got me hooked from the start with your stories. Keep it up and i hope u are recovering well

Wonderful story. Your descriptions and dialogue are compelling.
I also think many of us on this thread find it a joy to be able to personally relate to the multiple places/characters you write about. Few other literature allows them.
As others have mentioned, the story seems very exciting/sexciting but it is not impossible. So it helps us to dream in an otherwise boring day-to-day life.

If you were to publish it as a book, my suggestion would be to self-publish (dun think traditional publishers would be open to your story/content) and in a novella/light novel format. Getting an editor would also be important, to help regulate the flow of the story and fill in some gaps in storyline.
If you're worried about confidentiality, I would suggest you wait a number of years (5,10?) after you retire as a limo driver, then self-publish the book with fake names and dates.
If your book ever comes out, I would support.

definitely TS is one of the longer writing short stories around.
others usually drop out after 20/30pages.
