Well, the question that begs to be answered is if we are unadventurous and defensive, how long can we hold out again MILAN ???

Look at how they picked apart the Scum Defense. They are second to none for unpicking tight defensive formations.

Well said. I am glad I am not Rafa. It is never easy meeting the same opponent twice in a major final. They are not likely to make the same mistakes they did the last time.

That sentence doesn't quite work, heh. Man U and Fergie don't have the know-how or personnel to play tight, defensive football.

We do. Unless of course we abandon all of Rafa's instructions and commit hara kiri as we did in the last 2 finals. I'm hoping for a much improved defensive performance from us this time and it shouldn't be too difficult to ask for since it's our NORMAL game.

Neither are we. We made a lot of silly errors and got pulled apart in the first half. We got back not because of any mistakes by Milan on the field but because we put them under sustained pressure for 10-15 mins and rocked them.

Kewell - substitute at least.

perhaps the only saving grace is milan defence is aging, so hope we can put in some really speedy players to tire them out...

yes, the 5-man midfield is more suitable so that the milan midfield will have to track back and help defend more... playing gerrard as a support striker will be a masterstroke cos he has the speed and strength to cause chaos among the aging rearguard of the opposition... however, the critical impetus must come from the wingers. they must be on top of their game so that the defence can be spread thin effectively...

you're right, imho milan with pirlo, gattuso and seedorf, are stronger than liverpool in the middle of the park. liverpool should take the battle away to the flanks.
