This is the policy applies on all Banks in LOS for drawing cash from ATM with foreign ATM card. Do change slightly more Bahts in SG as money changers here offer better rate, forgo the trouble of searching a ATM to withdraw cash, & a lower exchange value with sub charge. Try not to use credit card as well, the respective bank will bill a lower exchange rate for the payment. I would only use my credit card in the last resort for the payment of my hotel bill if I am cash-strapped on my last day stay in LOS. Well said. ATM (not local thai bank account) or plastic, there's a cost and price to convenience. Banks never lose, either surcharge or lousy exh rate. Just like changing money buy/sell, there's a spread 2-5%.

Yesterday Arcade (Raffles Place) from various changers 23.32 to 23.36 and GM 23.28.

I hope the baht dun strengthen anymore against the SGD.

Last night at GM to change some pocket (aka beer) money for krungthep trip. Relieved to see rate improved to 23.40.

Bht sucky over here. Most places hovering 23.07 (haven't yet see UOB thai which is slightly better). Small graces, I changed some beer money ay GM earlier on wed @23.40. So be forewarned!

Do read this thread & it will provide you useful information where is the best place to change Thai Bahts. Unless you have the extra $ to loss for changing @ a less attractive rate money changer.

Airports (all over the world) are worse places to change money. Bkk is no different. This is also being said often enough in this thread

Thks for comment, I'm not talking about inside the airport area,
Most of the time i change in sinkapoor which offer better rate during weekdays. now no time, my nearest is northpoint but their weekend rate is slightly lower compare to monday morning in BKK airport (after out of custom) base on my 2times experience.

also notice the rate i got at BKK airport (those bank) and those in city is similar. (correct me if i'm wrong)
