Anyway,I learned quite a bit and spend more than double of what I usually will spend in Batam,make mistakes in this trip and also pay for those mistakes. But then I am still up to the challenge next year in CNY 2016,hehehe…I will be back…

Hi,bro...if you do not have someone who are interested to join you in your upcoming trip,you can still run solo to Batam where a handful bro like myself feel is more fun and enjoyable. If you arent familiar with Batam and/or be confident enough to travel there alone,just bring the same mentality as your would have travel to Sentosa (with your passport,of course). And read my signature on the newbie guide to travel to Batam. You wont go very wrong.

Because electronic stuffs are very expensive in Sillypore. As long as one is not looking at the latest electronic gadget, i am kind of confident that Batam is cheaper than MOST electronic stores in Sillypore.I have made comparison with mega stores,like Courts,Best and Harvey (even Funan Center) in Sillypore versus Lucky Plaza,Nagoya Hill Mall etc on their non-latest gadgets. I wont even think of bringing bulky electronic items from Batam to Sillypore as there might be taxes incur and bringing back to Batam for repairs could be another hassle too.

Whether if it will be cheaper than Sim Lim Sq,i have yet to find out. Perhaps after my next 2 or 3 trips later,i may be able to share more or i may not share at all (hehehe...). Its one of the reason why i am seeking for more information on My Mart at Carnaval Mall (near Batam center) which i read is considered as an IT mall in Batam. If time allows,i will visit this place.

It doesnt take a genius to understand the fact that the rental of nearly all shops in Batam is at least close to 100 times cheaper as compare to Sim Lim Sq shops on their 1st 3 storeys facing escalators (and mall entrance),hehehe....

As long as you're not buying 2nd hand electronic stuff there, it should be fine.

2nd hand stuff in Singapore and in Batam has very big difference. Like their WLs, 2nd hand electronic in batam don't know been through how many hands already. Told to me by ceweks.

Electronic products i bought are all 1st hand.After having being tricked once in China,ShenZhen once,i always take time to check,double check and test out product before paying for the product,never be lazy on testing out products or assume/expect any shops who will make an exchange/refund after payment is made. (personal assumption here)

Yes,this i agree. I see some girls carrying really old Blackberry phones or smart phones that arent even functioning properly; and/or they will buy from friends who has already bought their phones from their other friends who previously also bought them 2nd hand. I also learn that different part of Indo sells their electronic stuffs at different price and there is also a different pricing for locals and tourists. Different type of tourist has different prices too. eg. Tourist who bring girl to buy electronic stuffs usually will need to pay most,hehehe...

Batam definitely not a place for 2nd hand stuffs.

Using your FR shared in this thread,I just wish to share how i counter such bad experience you face (as i faced them before too).

1. When i walk into a massage shop,if there is an album,i always go for 2 choices in mind,1st one not working nevermind,i go for 2nd...2nd one also not available? i walk out of the shop as i know within radius of 100m of that shop,there will be at least 10 more other shops.

2. Whenever there is an album to choose girl,i also know that album and real person always different by at least 25% or more. I need to imagine those girls without make-up before picking them,hehehe...

3. Whenever there is an album,always ask the receptionist,which girl in the album is available before picking. Some of those not available usually quite "ang pai" aka popular...lol,so that i can come back next time for those not available today on a different day,different timing.

4. I learned one crucial thing about Batam,most joints and massage shops always change new girls once every other month. It will never be the girls that deters me from RTF/RTM from the same place,but more of the shop's culture,eg OKT's attitude and their recommendation,receptionist's recommendation,how the girls are being taught by their boss to serve etc. So 1 bad experience with one girl in a place do not means the place has no good girls.

5. Going to a shop without album means no choice to choose,and sometime no choice is the best (and only) choice. At most time,no choice is better than the choice i make when i am given one.

Once again,thank you for sharing your experience. The next time if i happen to go visit D'avant Asia Massage,i will take note not to take the girl with hair covering the left face from album,with the name Meme. After your experience, i will be more careful when taking any girls with their hair covering part of the face from album,hehehe...

This is true. Don't buy second hand electronics in Batam, you never know who the previous OWNERS are n how they use.

Not true that they change gals every now and then. The gals usually have a contract w the shop. Some are FL ( Princess Massage) who accept them and split their earnings.


As for gals, it is always luck. You never know who you going to meet. Regulars I know, who give good service, I will rtm.

As for those shops w frequent bad services, I ban them on my personal list. There are so many shops to frequent, so no need to stick on to one if you don't like their service.
