I can tell you first hand that you will not get any company past the lobby at Renaissance.

There is some possiblity that there is a discreet connecting corridor from the club next door (Club Vegas?) but no one has confirmed that this works. These women are US$60-100 for ST. Some are very attractive but most are primma donnas.

Suggest you take a walk first day to Mac Thi Boui (100 metres) and get a 'dogbox' room for $20 at one of the small hotels for your activities.

My experience is that the hotels with rooms for under US$30 are generally GF.
Once you head towards $40 they get a bit uptight and anything over $50 is a no go zone.

Three locations with clusters of these cheap hotels are near Ben Than market (as Reaper says), the backpacker area near Gossip disco and the sidestreets around the river end of Hai Bai Trung.

Many of these hotels list under backpacker websites.

They lack the facilities of the big hotels but the rooms are generally comfortable and fairly clean and the service is quite personal since they may only have a dozen rooms.

I would doubt that Liberty 4 is GF.

yup...one and the same...above average place....as for gers wise...not really sure...but the few times I have been there.....each time managed to see some "well known" FLs....

Festival Massage take the lift is at the back, take the lift to level 4, (you be guided by the guard there) then walk up to level 5. Basically 4 chambers - 1st- Locker and change area, pretty safe with your own valuable pouch, locker keys etc..2nd - Shower / Sauna / Steam Bath and Back Scrub area only the back scrub where you are expect to tip. 3rd-Lounge come foot massage, for 60,000 dong (6 sing) done by Boy / Man. the main course is the 4th chamber where you get the body massage by a young chic, most are pretty chio. you get a decent 40-45 min massage before they lead you on and pop the question for hand jobs...negotiable....around 150K-250K (15-25 Sing). The massage staff in both establishment does not get salary, all earning are from tips. Spoke to the girl at festival..on average earn approx 10 Mil dong (1K Sing) a month for 12 hrs day, 7 days. Pretty good for local standard..so can afford to rent a decent place to stay and buy her own bike etc...

Damages after 50% discount was 100,000 dong (10 Sing) excluding tips for all in 2hrs of quality services. Even at it full rate it a bargain compore to BKK.

At the rate it going, HCM will soon take over BKK as the place to get good massage. Especially for man .

Was in HCM from 23rd dec -31st dec 2006. But only party 1 night with 3 of my bros.. as my ba xa joined me for the rest of my trip. Share some information that I know.

Hotel:
DaiNam Hotel not gal friendly, but we manage to play around the rules. We book an additional twin sharing room and registered it with 2 viet gals name. Whenever the guard asks, they just quote their room number. But actually 1 is with me and 1 is with my bro. Room rate is USD$35/night during the holiday season.

Cau Voan Hotel in district 5 is gal friendly. It is near An Dong Plaza. I stay 4 nights cost only USD$67. Many Taiwanese guys go there to match make.

Massage:
Next to Gossip Disco, 2nd floor. Entrance is VND$150,000.
Atmosphere is good. Gals are pretty. There is hot pool, cold pool, sauna, steam bath, gym, TV room, foot massage, body massage. Negative point is that the hot pool not hot.
Foot massage: VND$50,000 tips
Body massage: VND$200,000 tips
Body massage + hj: VND$400,000 tips.

KTV
Karaoke 79, across a sky bridge at 4th level of DaiNam Hotel. Same level as Castle KTV.
Damage: VND$900,000 for 3 hrs
Tips: VND$200,000 per gal, VND$100,000 for mummy
Not worth going to the ktvs. Girls are not that pretty..ok only. Negative point is that they are not wild at all. Only hug hug… kiss kiss oso siam, wanna press press also play ‘taiji’.
Check with the mummy to see if there is any ktv in HCM that is very wild, strip, hj+bj…
Answer given as NO…not in HCM city. Damn disappointed.

Saw from the Straits Times that JetStar (budget airline) will be flying to Ho Chi minh City soon. I tried to navigate thru their website to find out the starting date but cannot find it. Any bros know which date they starting? They will prove to be good competition to Tiger Airways as Jetstar has allocated seats and fly from T1. I will hope to expect airfares to HCM to fall further.

Jetstar is flying to HCM... but seems like it is from Australia to HCM.

All the massage place have similar pricing - approximately 150K dong (15 Sing) for the entire package excluding tips....which really up to you and or negotiate with the girl (150k - 200k)

Dai Nam as mentioned above which is on Tran Hung Dao street is similar, the atmostpheres is a bit better. Drink and fruit at the lounge are complimentary.

Alternative massage place to try is hair dressing Salon around Bui Thi Xuan - Package including - Hair cut, hair wash, shampoo head massage, facial massage / treatment, 45 min body massage (mostly no hanky panky)..real decent massage comparable to Thai, less painful. All the girl are very chio..., the entire package approx. 130-150K Viet Nam Dong (15 Sing). Excluded tips..range 50K - 100K for the massage girl.

About choosing the girl - if you know her number and she is not busy or you are willing to wait, yes!....there is also VIP package cost (300K at Dai Nam) which will have a private room where the girl will bath for you...again mostly HJ only..you could always try to ask the girl to meet you after work.
