I too am having a relationship now. Just how you define one sided feeling? Does she tell you honestly everything? Be it customer want to date her, give her gifts, want to marry her etc? Does she only want to spend her off days with you? If when with her and you can feel the 恋爱 feeling, then I suppose should be both also fall in love.

It may also come to a point where the ML don't want provide fj anymore because after all they are ML. Maybe they get too attached and see it brings them no where, they will stop provide fj. So for ML, there is still a need to bring them out so as to keep the fire burning.

my relationship with the ML is temporary suspended since she went back to her country. I agree that it becomes very transaction based, once you pay for the fj, chances of building a normal relationship is gone. You are just a customer. ML also knows no prospect and going nowhere if they know you are married family man. In fact those with any decency will try not to get involved and disturb your family life.
