Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Amazing 63 matches unbeaten @ fortress Anfield. 64 will break record and will be Leicester City visit.
Jota oh Diogo scored 3 consecutive match winners. Nathaniel Philips must be training well for Klopp to start him at CB. LIVERPOOL now top of league and only Everton win can displace top.

Giant mentality monster and winning after falling behind for consecutive matches. This mentality is similar to last season which proved importance for champion.
Congrats Trent for 100 PL matches. Shaq pass for Jota to score was brilliant which took out 3 WH players.

pretty good results after the 7-2 loss to Aston Villa, all we need now to grind out wins to maintain our lead in the PL and CL tables.

Mentality monsters
This is about picking up points between now and January. Coping without our main CBs and a possible VAR conspiracy against us and getting those wins is all that matters. Nat Phillips take a bow. Great EPL debut! Especially impressed with his aerial ability. And what about them 2 super substitutions! Now think Jota may well prove to be a better signing than if we actually went with Werner instead. Excellent striker's ability and now definitely pushing for Bobby's place as Bobby has been totally lacklustre this season. As for Shaqiri, thank goodness we did not sell him! Top class skills and providing very valuable contributions whenever he comes on. Fingers crossed he remains injury free as his previous injuries were always holding him back for us. 4 wins now without VVD and 3 wins coming from behind. Still have Thiago, Matip and Fabinho to return (not forgetting other tofus like Keita and Ox). Awesome stuff! Very tricky week ahead, first with our trip to Atalanta followed by a trip to City. But last night's win has certainly helped to boost our confidence for these next two tough games. Come on you Reds! |

Atalanta injury blow to key defender as players rested before Liverpool in Champions League Liverpool will travel to take on Atalanta in their Champions League Group D match on Tuesday Atalanta could be without a key defender when they host Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday. The Reds will travel to Italy sitting top of Group D having beaten both Ajax and FC Midtjylland in their opening two European Cup fixtures. Their opponents, meanwhile, sit second on four points and present what is likely to be the toughest test so far for the Premier League champions on their European group stage travels. Elsewhere, Liverpool's next opponents have several longer term injuries hindering them at the moment too. Midfielder Marten de Roon is unavailable while centre-back Mattia Caldara and centre-forward Marco Tumminello are also out. The Reds do, of course, have a number of injury problems themselves but Jurgen Klopp will be hoping the likes of Thiago Alcantara and Joel Matip will overcome their repsective injuries to be available for selection. Liverpool will be looking to return back to Anfield clutching all three points having cemented themselves at the top of Group D with a real chance of progression following a win on Tuesday night. Gian Piero Gasperini's well-drilled attacking unit are coming into the match flying high in Serie A, second only to AC Milan. However, star left-wingback Robin Gosens - who was linked with a switch to Chelsea this summer - might be unavailable in what would be a huge blow. The German defender is suffering with a calf problem and had to be removed from the Atalanta squad ahead of their 2-1 win over Crotone on Saturday. During that match, Colombian striker Luis Muriel scored twice before being brought off at half-time to be rested ahead of the Reds' visit. Argentina international and attacking midfielder Papu Gomez was also brought off during the interval as Gasperini looked to give some of his key stars a break before their Champions League contest with the six times winners. The manager used all five of the substitutions available to him during that game. |

This is all about squad players. Players out to impress not only the fans but managers too. After 5 matches before Jan, Liverpool will have 12 matches to play without VVD. Klopp will need players to play to impress and all about managing games. Dun care how to win but any win is a good win. Also key is consistency. Noticed either Hendo or Milner will be on the field and their leadership is crucial. Surprised Fabinho is also loud voice while playing.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
So sick n tired of Pool being so inconsistent every other week. They're always switching positions frequently in the table 1st to 2nd n 2nd to 1st back n forth unlike manure who has been so consistent this season @ 15th place throughout.... ;-)

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
It is going to be a tough season because of the injuries we carry and most importantly where does Jota fit.
Many people are calling Firmino to be dropped but I'm sure Klopp knows best and notices something that we do not. Let's see.

The season is only one month old and Liverpool have already suffered injury/absence to:
Alisson Van Dijk Matip Gomez Fabinho Tsimikas Thiago Keita Henderson Oxlade-Chamberlain Mane Shaqiri Top of the table and our CL Group by the way 🏆 And then we are seeing the next generation Liverpool team in the making. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
No Thiago but ....
Kostas Tsimikas made his return to training ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League trip to Atalanta, with Joel Matip, Naby Keita and Billy Koumetio also back. The only long-term absentees at this point at Virgil van Dijk and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, with both Fabinho and Thiago expected back in the coming weeks. Nat Philips not named in CL squad so cannot play.
