I am really curious. How do the bookmakers (bookies) decide the odds for the game? You also dunno how badly both sides are affected... how do you decide to give half ball, 1 ball to any team?

City's quality is undeniable. Them winning a game with a late winner is nothing particularly surprising. It's just they seem to consistently get the path of least resistance all the time. Circumstances just keep lining up in their favor.

For instance Jota was looking for a pen so he doesn't get it. But Silva apparently wasn't looking for a pen so he gets it. Kane doesn't get sent off against us but Gabriel gets sent off against them.

Again, it's not that City aren't a great team, it's that circumstances keep them from even being challenged that is darn frustrating.

Looks like we are genuinely in a fight for top 4 now. Not seen City have a single covid case and getting no multiple prolonged injuries either. We just can’t compete when it’s like this and for me it’s become easier to accept strangely.

That said, must say I find it crazy City haven't had any covid cases, yet two of their players were caught at super spreader events.

Yet another excellent result for City, no good for us or Chelsea though. That said, already given up on the PL after losing at Leicester.

Moreover up to Jota, Firmino, Minamino and Origi to carry us through the next 6 weeks upfront, three of whom are currently unavailable, so unfortunately things not looking that good.

Pulsating game last night, great one for neutrals, could have gone either way but I feel we need to control games we are winning as we have blown another two goal lead by hitting the self destruct button yet again

Just about sums up the difference between them and us.

Its our high line coupled with midfielders who are too slow to cover. Definitely needs a tactical tweak of dropping back a few yards when defending. We've simply gotta change our shape/depth defensively in 2022 if we're to have any chance in the CL. Teams like Bayern, Real, City will cut us open with ease if we wanna keep playing gung ho like this when winning games 2-0.

Furthermore must say Henderson had a shocker last night, again. I am sick of how wide open the right-hand side is and the blame being laid at the door of Trent. Tbf Milner and even Fab were poor as well. We totally lost the midfield battle, while Kovacic + Kante bossed it. I genuinely think without Kante, Chelsea is a house of cards.

On the positive side...

Kelleher was excellent and even seems better with his feet than Alisson. I know he wasn't on long but Curtis looked lively. Good to see him back. Tsimikas - I thought he was very good both defensively and offensively - he's a real fighter too.

Now have to get this off my chest. Sky's Martin Tyler was totally biased against us once again. So too ratboy Neville. There was deathly silence when Salah scored bar a groan from Neville. But when Kovacic and Pulisic scored they were screaming in the commentary.

Going to end on another positive though...

Unfortunately the Reds are not winning the PL this season but we’ll remember this campaign for Mo Salah, wow what a privilege to watch this player. Unbelievable goal again - and the effort against Mendy in the second half was a stunning shot

The amount we spent compared to Chelsea is no match. Draw is fair result.
