Oic
Thanks for the share Anyways on reflection, this is my take on Nunez... The number of chances that Darwin generates (a lot of the chances by himself) if he converts at an average rate he'll explode. If it doesn't happen this season then this is the player that Nunez is |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
If i may, sharing my thoughts on our situation just before the new season starts...trying to be more positive lah
1. Think our injuries will improve because we'll play a less intensive style of football 2. Think we'll be harder to break down because regardless of the phase of play we'll have a set amount of people to deal with a turnover 3. Mac and Dom are fully integrated into the team 4. Jota has had his first full preseason without breaking down and that hopefully has built up his strength to stave off injury (knock on wood) 5. Think Grav will shine in a team that is based on building through the midfield...Klopp's team was far more direct and the game passed him by 6. We were missing Trent, Dom, Alisson, and Salah for long periods the hope is they can remain relatively injury-free...That will result in gaining and saving points at both ends of the pitch 7. Elliott is on the verge of breaking out...His stats for a small period of time were outstanding and the hope is it was more than just a purple patch 8. Nunez just has to convert his chances at an average rate (not a ridiculous rate like Son) to explode(really hope this is the case) Every single one of my points above can be dismissed but from my pov, our season can go either way |

Saw a post somewhere that no new Liverpool manager in this century had won their first game.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Just had a chat with a staff from the jersey selling shop. Yes, that one but I will not name them in case I breach advertising rules. I asked if the home jersey is selling well. Guy straight away said no. Many customers complained about the stupid collar. So I asked what about the away jersey. He said it is a top seller. Last season's green and white away jersey is a top seller too.
He shared that many customers are waiting for the 3rd jersey. Stocks not here yet. Plus.. he said next season is likely to go back to Adidas. I was quite surprised as I don't remember reading any news. He said he knows because Adidas is telling distributors to stand by. FSG is fucking stupid group to me. They signed Nike because Nike sells at a higher price with a greater percentage of commission from each sale. But Nike's designs are so shitty customers are buying less. End up we may be better staying on with New Balance/Warriors. Adidas will be the best choice

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
3 points. Clean sheet. Long way to go but happy enough with that for now. Onwards and upwards
Slow start. First half was very poor. Second half was much better. TAA's passing is other worldly, and I felt Grav grew in the game and was phenomenal on the half turn and driving with the ball. We won’t get away with a performance like that against upper table teams but all in all not a bad first game. Konate stabalised the defence and Dom started to fill for Trent when he pushed up. Small changes, big difference. Slot said that Quansah was subbed because he lost too many duels and we couldn’t control the game, hence bringing on Konate. “I told the boys at half time, there’s no point talking about tactics if we don’t win our duels.” Really impressed with how Slot had changed this game and in turn broke the first game curse becoming Liverpool's first manager in the PL era to win his first competitive match, even without new signings A few more comments... Mo takes the record for opening day scoring in his own right Compare that to Luis Diaz...Where attacks go to die Diaz's end product does my head in From an Ipswich point of view, they really need to have Ed Sheeran for the full 90 mins Seems like he left early because of a gig in Serbia. Oh and Ipswich's GK should have got MOTM. If not for him we probably would have won by 4 or 5 goals. Last edited by escobar43535; 17-08-2024 at 11:32 PM. |

Do you all follow the Liverpool Football Club channel on WhatsApp? Can get free official news. Whoever needs the link, please let us know.
I was trying to see how differently we will play given that all the players were from Klopp era. Fewer long balls ahead. No more heavy metal press. Diaz is still more interested in being a showman than connecting with his teammates.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Liverpool has accepted 2 bids above £25 million pounds for Van den Berg from Brentford and Bayer Leverkusen. Given that Joe Gomez is likely leaving too..maybe Nat Phillips will finally be given a chance. He hasn't been sold or loaned out yet.
I think Liverpool will sell Joe Gomez. He is a current England player and is worth a premium transfer fee. If Arne Slot doesn't play him often and he loses his England spot, it will decrease his transfer value
