Hot Singaporean idol to release album in Vietnam

Popular Singaporean actor and singer Edmund Chen is set to arrive in Vietnam on Sunday for a six-day trip promoting his first album to be released in the country alongside his latest film.
Chen said he decided to release his album in Vietnam because it would give him the opportunity to revisit the beautiful country.

The album titled Yeu nhat nu cuoi cua em (I love your smile the most) is his 5th solo collection.

In an email sent to Thanh Nien, Edmund said he plans to release another album in Vietnam and perform live in the country next year.

Chen said when he came to Vietnam last year to shoot the feature film Saigon Nhat thuc (Saigon Eclipse), he had got along well with several talented Vietnamese counterparts.

Saigon Eclipse, which stars Chen alongside popular Vietnamese and overseas Vietnamese actors under an overseas Vietnamese director will open its HCMC release in three days.

The film has recently won the Worldfest Houston International Film Festival Special Jury Prize and has been officially selected as among the best films at the Visual Communications Film Fest Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival this year.

I only got chance to eat supper in few places. Xin Hai Yun at Nguyen Trai D1, local seafood place at Hung Vung D5, Phong Vy and also some stores near my place that open late.

I will be in SG quite often. coffee can. Go JC and study abit hard

Taxi fare from airport to D1 is approx. VND60K to VND80K, if you want to avoid the hassle of the touts, just use the airport taxi counter like KT said, but be prepared to pay more, there are many budget hotels within walking distance to Ben Thanh, happy searching....

This is what I normally do at the airport, the moment I stepped out I will put the HP to my ear and pretend I'm calling someone, walk briskly to outside as though you've a chauffer to pick you up, most of the time I just brush the touts aside and they don't persist if they see you on the phone

Then....I walked to the far right carpark just chinchye approach any white Vinasun taxi to go to my hotel, normally I just pay around VND70K only....no bargaining required, just insist they ON their meter..
