Just share my observation after learning much from the seniors in this thread.

Back today after 4 nights in AC. The place is quiet but not deserted. have enjoy just like previous trips. Less competition, more choices.

There are still barfines. Just that you have to pass the money to the gal before they change and in turn I think they will pass to their mamasan.

The LDs and barfines prices did not change much from what i remembered eight months ago. There are also no min LDs or time restriction per LD as mentioned by some. At least from what I experience and observe.

The parties go on. Believe Many and myself have come and enjoyed and nothing happened. But We might be lucky.

Maybe AC is towards its last days, maybe there are new laws now and then, maybe some bars are raided, maybe there are more runners, maybe.....

If you are worry about this and that, then probably just stay at home. But there's also haze in sg now. How?

Anyway above are my personal observations and opinions.

Hi Chris,
Nice place you got there. I've been to AC only twice, but I must admit I spent most of my meal time at your joint, especially during breakfast which is a very quiet and peaceful place to enjoy the breakfast. The aircon is a plus to get away from the heat. Honourable mention to the french onion soup and eggs benedict.

And .. will be there end of September, so I will not change my plans, + visit to AC !!!

My friends who are running other businesses in AC say they don't see any significant drop in their businesses, and they are getting most revenue from AC visitors .. specifically, those heading to Fields/Perimeter !

You're wrong here. This particular law only came into effect in February 2013.
The previous version of the law had too many loopholes to effectively police the sex industry. AC is bearing the brunt of this new law as it has been too blatant in promoting its undesirable activities. Once AC is tamed...... believe me they will move on to other locations as well....... already there has been talk of Subic being the next cleanup target.

Tequila Reef Cantina is in my opinion one of the better eating outlets in AC. Price reasonable and taste great for our taste. I like his ribs and the tacos. Best of all is eye candy from his waitresses and his personal touch whenever he is around. If you want to sing, then check out Suave that's upstairs.
Tequila Reef Cantina is located on A Santos, just between Swiss Chalet and Kokomos. Diagonally across from Crystal Palace.

That's what I've been saying all along - that AC is a blatant whorehouse, with little else to offer.

People may not like what I just said but that's the reality - if you take away the bars and sex trade, the place will become a ghost town as all other services depend on it to survive.

Try doing this enforcement in manila or cebu or some place else which has more to offer than just the sex industry, and I don't think it will take off at all.

AC will be here for a long long time until the next Pinatubo eruption. Why?
Because the Emir of Emirates has invested USD$5billion to develop part of AC into a Mega city....... his piece of land is adjacent to SM Mall and construction works has begun.

Whether it will succeed or not...... is anybody's guess

Which bar in Angeles City is the next target, we never know!!
Even you pay the girl first like bro Wee326, and the girl gets arrested subsequently, you can still get into trouble. If you're seen walking with the girl outside the bar, or near your hotel, you could get arrested as well. The law could even get applied in any club anywhere & take you by surprise. Don't risk getting jailed in the Philippines.
My suggestion is to all bros, please stay away from Angeles City.

You all should cancel your AC flights & buy JKT flights instead.
Jakarta which is booming with pretty girls, doing great strip shows in clubs, topless massages in massage parlors, ST is only $35 in several places with abundant choice including tarma option, girls are young and sweet looking and quality is even better than Angeles City. Overall a great party and fun place.

Not really. You have not been to AC as long as I have and seen all the changes taking place there over the last 15- 20 years. Your statement would be true up until about 10 yrs ago as AC back then was nothing but a dusty playground. Not so today as AC bars contribute very little to the overall economy. True that the immediate hotels and restuarants immediately surrounding the bar areas are directly affected by the bar customers but there are so much more now outside of Fields/Perimeter area. Just a simple 10min drive going towards the airport will already show very modern apt complexes and factories that have nothing to do with the bar scene. Just the employment in this area far exceeds the bar scene. The govt is not worried at all if the bar scene folds and is eliminated as they know the price of prime real estate so near an Intl airport will be priceless in the future. Many more companies will move in to fill the void without the negative stigma of a "red light district" in the area. The hotels will also fill up but not with our kind but with legitimate business men working for the various corporations. This is the future that scares me and City Hall already have these thoughts in mind. Believe me everything is already thought out but just a matter of when the Govt plans take full effect as it seems even now they already started to do so but in stages.

Also just for reference, I have also been playing in Manila and Cebu over the last 20 yrs and just for the record, Manila was "cleaned up" over 15yrs ago when Mayor Lim went on a crusade to stamp out the bar scene. The Manila that exist today is only a shadow of what it was before. Trust me when I tell u that Manila was at least over 3x the size of AC back in the glory days and because of the competition many of the prices were even cheaper than AC.
Same goes for Cebu, as the recent crackdowns there over the last 5 yrs had started to make the scene harder and much more expensive in the process.

The Emir's investment is only a small portion of the development plans. AC is gonna be much bigger than that. The future bodes well for this place.
