I would be going for a holiday from 15 to 19 July. was planing either phuket (which i am familiar with), or CP or HCM. any bros around there during this period, or any bro station there that i can contact if i go?

any hotels to recommend within town area? i heard form my colleague who just came back there is a backpacker area where u can go there to book day trip. Night time, well u guys know.... haha. not staying in such hotel though, maybe near there and near nightspot area will be good. 3 to 4 stars with proper bathroom, preferable the hotel comes with a swimming pool will be great. where do u guys generally book hotels from?

How to get from airport to hotel, if by cab how much?

As for how to chiong there, guess we all always have a first time. best is to learn through experience. hahaa..... i will try to read up more as i dun get chop big time.

eeerrr...I may be posted here in HCMC but my understanding of the language is very very minimal. becuase I hardly have the chance to use it. and I also learn my viet from the gers here. Also I am force to learn it for my own "survival adn happiness". It is the power of the internet that makes me look like I know the language.

Backpacker area is called Pham Ngu Lao D1. Shitloads of hotels. 2-3 star. located about a 5 -10 mins walk to City centre. There are also loads of hotels in the city centre that cost about USD 25-45 per nite. Clean and nice. Swimming pool have, heated one somemore...just fill up the bath tub in your toilet...just the right size for 2 persons..... There are loads of websites you can do online booking from or you can go straight to the hotel home page.

I have friends that have brought back gers into this hotels without much problems. BUT BE WARN. there are no GER FRIENDLY hotels in HCMC. at the end of the day if the security wants to play punk with you, you also LPPL.

As for booking day trips you can do it from the front desk at the hotel you staying but my personal favourite is Sinh Cafe "located within Pham Ngu Lao

will be about roughly VND60,000 to 75,000. tat is if you are travelling from airport to D1. the brands/company to take are VINASUN, VINATAXI. For taxis, take VINASUN, VINATAXI, COMFORT DELGRO, MAI LINH. do not take the private taxis or SASCO TAXI (Airport Taxis. IF your purpose of a holiday is for you to celebrate BONKFEST 2007, than I suggest you dont come to HCMC. Go to Chang Ping or Thailand. If you want to have a relaxing holiday where by bonking a ger is an added bonus, than HCMC is fine. at elast in my opinion.
