Yala knn u anyway its just next door only... Dun send thru western union here leh they charge high for svs fee. The highest i ever remit was abt $9000 = about 200000 baht. they only give u something like 800 baht more only leh no point. But it is better than bkk banks foreign exchange rates. every withdrawal made overseas using your atm card they impose svs fee of roughly $5 +...... Anyway pls help me to pay for my room hor hahah....

Still dare to say. That time i told u i checked with western union and realised the high service fee for the amount u sent. Meaning the more u send,the higher the service fee.

last time i ever use my card in bkk. They charge like S$5 service fee for SG plus another 125baht for bkk service fee. total S$10 for each withdrawal. That is why i prefer to change my money and remit it over.

why nt opened a current account ovr there since U (almost lik) staying there? Then k apply credit card (w/o worrying abt bad conversion rates) & accumlate reward pts mah.

The money is for other purposes other than daily usage and neccessities.

Also u cant be using credit card eating "roadside stalls" and go LTs with WLs rite. Though i dun eat roadside and go LTs. Sometimes use CC also got disadvantages there. Different situation use different alternatives.

I am a poor kid ..so no credit card for me.

4 Fun purposes, isit? Later bills come, yr wif/ tirak c, pull yr ear. isit?

I still dun knw lia, wan 2 but a bit mah fun, rgding the length of stay/ trip. If need 2 keep flying bk 2 Sg, sucks BIG time, manz. Nt mentioning the bills cos if i stay o/s, it will be no income liao. Sian.

u want to stay how long and where? And do u have sideline or anything?

My current jobs req. me 2 be always contactable by my customers, so if live 1 yr o/s means knt wk & even lose their patronize even after I return, so hav 2 lk 4 new job.

No sideline @ the moment, tking of going o/s, then c, gt small business 2 do or nt. Trouble manzz,

What is your motive of staying 1 year overseas? If just to have some fun,then i suggest u go for short trips like the rest. If like some bros moving up for tiraks,be very SURE u can make ends meet. If not,a few months later,u back to square 1. Bad scenario for that case.

If unless needed to stay overseas,u can always make frequent trips overseas when u can afford it. Not neccessarily give up the job and money just for a short stint overseas unless u can continue earning money wherever u go.

Reason 4 me is lik, gunner84, very sian of SG lifestyle & I oso hope 2 explore o/s 2 lk 4 chances. Cos the setting up capitial req. is much lesser but return is higher(, nt 4gting the risk 2). SG living standard is 2 high (gd actually) but lwr middle class, lik me finds our condition keeps eroding further & further. If stuck here 4 a few more yrs, surely auto dwngrade 2 lwr class & wait 4 ghamen 2 give handouts liao. Ha, ha.
