without knowing your expections of the hotel stay, it is difficult for anyone to recommend here...perhaps the word 'reasonable' over 'value for $' is appropriate in your context..

I will list 2 hotels for your reference..not sure if you consider them 'value for $'...

I stay in 1 mini-hotel at abt S$20 per day and one of my friend's gal still say there are even more beautiful place at the same price. The place i stay i consider better than H81 liao... Got fridge, aircon, tv, etc.

We go HCM every month so there's sure to be an opportunity when the dates coincide...... just pm us for our monthly dates as we already booked 4 to 5 months ahead and arrange your dates accordingly, see as easy as 1,2,3

Dun worry, my pool not only sucks but swallows

Dunno what your budget but the Cheap and Nice Hotels I used to stay are about USD30/=.

There are too many discos like Gossip, Echo, X-Club, Catwalk, Volcano.. all in Dist 1.

Massage? There are too many.. Most Hair salons do massage. But if U want nice massage, U can try 137, Ham Nghi Street Dist 1. Near Ben Thanh Market

As many has quoted in this forum "One Man's meat might be another man poison". It is all depend on individual liking.
