I have a guy friend who married a vietnam girl 2 years ago and started to isolate from my group of close friends.

he is helping his wife to settle debt in vietnam by taking loan from Easi cash from GE because she has a failed business in vietnam before she came over singapore. before married, my friend will every month help her remit $500 but after marriage she demanded for $1k otherwise she would go JC to work..WTF further more my friend is those listen to girl type,
got girl no friend.... cheong with him for years already know his styles
In order to help her, my friend borrow $ from us but we only lend him 25% of the amount his request because we knew that he would neva able to get back the loan. As a favour to him...hope he know what is doing.
No new from him lately, last time he called me was to help him to apply for an online application of a flat coz he is an IT idiot...he thought the fee is free also never volunteer to pay me...$10 i also never ask la...

The most shocking thing hor was on my big days he also never turned up...what a friend hahaha....he said forgotten..... i purposely dun call him to remind until a friend told me after the wedding dinner...hahaha

It has been a year since i wrote in this thread

talking about this ji hong friend, have not hear from him since late 2008.
Recently,heard that he has bought a flat(4 room) flat in the north side of singland. The family of his viet wife is coming over to stay with them.

Damn useless and he has been asking for long term loan( even ask colleagues to introduce loan shark to him) to pay for the COV of 14k. Thank god nobody seem to bother about him and luckily his aunt managed to help him

oh recently i came across english edu ctr offering, who want their bx to study english n get 1yr student pass. i might have lobang to help out, pm me.

but i seen some Vietnamese friends of mine studying in sillypore mdis, some of them are real rich. but some really is not those "types". even a girl whose dad is a one-star army general, she is studying in sillypore

One star general is consider very high rank and alot of lobangs. Their children will have to marry other generals or politicians children. No chance for us la. Can see them travel home frequently even over the weekend.

this one i also not too sure. Around 2 years ago, i met a 4 star general onboard Vietnam airlines flight from Singapore to Vietnam. Seldom see any army officers in uniform overseas, but this general brought around 20 other younger army officers along. My wife and i had a chat with him, he's around 63 years old. His boys in economy and he was on business class. Nice old man. He told me his daughter studying UK.

Nowadays, the average ones come to Singapore while the rich and richer goes to UK, US and other western countries.

i have been in HCMC for the past 1 week roi. Busy with the renovation of my cafe bar. Cafe bar will open on 19th Jan.
