Another lady just came back from her maternity leave, HR somehow gave her more time. She was to leave by 31 dec, that was the best they could do for her.



It's situation like this that affects me mostly.

How i wish all singaporeans will work together and care for one another and have more empathy and love for each other. We are in this state as we are not cooperative enough and always scheming against each other to the extent that we are losing good jobs to FTs, who in turn care so much for their fellow countrymen that they recommend them jobs which are robbed from us. Sad fact and scenario. If without them, i am sure many would have been saved from such pitiful plight of losing jobs and families suffering. Blame who? Thats the root question. Not wallow in pity.

I too was retrenched in late 2012 n again in early 2013. So is 2 retrenchments within 1 year. This really woke me up but also got me worried for a long period of time.

Although now I m in another big coy but who knows what might happen again. Must save for rainy days

Bro, i know that feeling.. i was retrench once ..it felt like shit cause i was only with the coy for 3 months.. another time my buddies were retrench, it felt like shit too cause i was quite affected by their departure plus their work were stacked onto mine.. Though i cant say its a going to be a easy ride but what cant kill u will make you stronger.. so hang in there.. winter is coming

As for your current situation. It's never easy. I feel you. Been there before what I can say if you can take additional payout on top of your retrenchment benefits. Do it for yourself. It is time to milk your company.

It is a myth that big companies don't pay extra payouts. THEY WILL AS LONG AS YOU HOLD YOUR BOSS RANSOM ON SOMETHINGS.

To all bros who got retrenched i know that feeling been in the same shit 3 times and i'm not getting younger. Keep your chin up. it won't be easy for those who are above forty just need to lower expectation and be ready it could be a long period looking for new job.
on the bright side bros with kids can take this opportunity to bond with them and of course with your Mrs. too.

we are Singaporean will will survive this.
