From what I do read,

The Military are divided in 2 camps. 1 is the coup started by Gen Sonthi, while the other supporting Thaksin currently is keeping low profile awaiting for further instructions by their leaders.

Thaksin is different from other leaders previously ousted from coups. Because he is bloody rich. When u have money, a lot of things can be done.

Furthermore, he still has quite strong support.

Just a late nite quiet coup can bring him down? I don't think so.

Very good article....that almost fully explained reason for the "coup"...

Nobody will ever win against the monachy where many of the kings are treated like "gods"...eg. King Rama V . This king Bhumibol Adulyadej has aready got the status like his great grand father..... Can Thaksin defeat him ? Not a single chance. The Monachy is more than a religion for the Thai...

The King is only Human. He is not God, because he will go through birth, aging, sickness and death. He is having God-Like Status due to the monarchy which has been passed down for centuries.

However Humans do make mistakes at times too.

On a sexual note,

If the situation is chaotic, there will be curfews and no one will dare go MP also mah. In places which are chaotic, people still have to eat and feed. So in order to do that also must have money.

If the situation turns worst, some girls might even go underground and charge cheaper (maybe) for survival. While more may even flock out from Thailand to our shores.

With the political assassination of Thaksin, mafias, druglords will rise.. More drugs on market, girls who play them will need more money, so more girls will engage in flesh trade for fast bucks to stave off their addictions.

So is this a positive view or negative view?

Let the people decide by voting who they want to be Prime Minister.
If Thaksin is lousy, he will not win elections in coming October (original planned election). So if Thaksin wins again and again and again, it only shows his support from the people is very strong. For every 1 person who dulan him, there may be 2 who loves him. That is what the election is for. For the people to choose who they want, not by certain factions who want him to be removed.

Also, there must be really something wrong with their constitution to have so many coups over few decades. Every time when just about they were moving towards democracy, they took a few steps back by having a coup.

In my view this is a power struggle......where is democracy when an elected PM can be 'dismissed' by the military? Overall there are more who support him then those who oppose him but unfortunely those who oppose him are those who know how to make nosie namely those middle class in bangkok....the academia, aristocratic class (the old power network) who are threaten by Thaksin's hold on power.....the instigator is Prem....The King just got drag into the fray....just my 2 bahts worth
