What aboot Gerrard? what a stupid challenge in the box! Lucas is always the easiest to blame but for the quality that some other players possessed, they did a hell lot worse. Yet again we lose thanks to 3 set plays. credit to Villa, they knew frustrating Liverpool would get them a result. Like Rafa has mentioned, not just Torres, but the whole team have to stop getting so frustrated over refereeing decisions. It cost us the game. Benayoun also proved why he should probably be just a super sub. He looked tired and out of sorts. Not sure if Riera is still injured but I felt bringing him on for Lucas and moving to the left, while Benayoun moved to the hole would have been a better option than Voronin. Time for Gerrard to move back to central midfield and try someone else with Torres, everyone knows how to defend against the "lethal" Gerrard Torres partnership. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Villa played as well as anything team I have seen at Anfield, pressed well and scored at the right moments. We were totally frustrated before they scored.
Friedel must have made 10 saves, although none clear cut chances after the first 10 mins. Torres should have received better protection from the ref, although no complaints about the result. Walk on the walking wounded, Bolton next. |

I didnt watch the game(Cant wake up! ) but lets not point finger at any individual..
Football is a team game and the team takes the blame.. Yes its Lucas again but why nobody praise him when he did well? Carra scored a few own goals in his time (Wont forget the 1 he scored during 06 FA Cup final) but are we gonna say he is jinx? It has been the worst start for dunno how many years and its quite worrying to be honest... Bolton is up next and its never an easy place for us to visit...

Lost 2 of the first 3 games. Call me pessimistic but I think this season no chance for title already.

We are not fully focussed in defence. Carra has been outjumped for a couple of corners now (I mean, OK, he is not the tallest). But yes it's the team that is not playing well and making bad mistakes at bad times, and we are paying for it. |

1-3 HOME defeat!!!
can really see anything positive out of this game... only excuse i can think of is tat we're not enjoying any luck or referee decision again... pls stop blaming this poor chap Lucas.. it's unfair to expect him to step into the team and totally take over Alonso, one of the best midfielder.. furthermore he's not the only player who were not performing.. we used to be conceding fewest goal from set-pieces for the past few season, but this season we have already conceded 4 goals (excl. the penalty)!! think the player's concentration is not there.. they really need to buck up..

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
if want to find somebody to point finger to... i think the 2 american owners shall be blamed...
after coming so close last season, a real supportive owner shall invest more $$ to strengthen the team to go 1 step further.. but look at wat our dear owners have done?!! we r lucky to have rafa staying on as our manager, after been betrayed by our owners (tat klinsman scandal), and tis season he is promised a transfer kitty which was never given...

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Once again it was d setpieces which killed us! When r we gonna learn hw to defend???? I thought we played quite well in d opening 20 mins or so but Villa finished us off with 2 lucky goals in d 1H. How suay can we get to concede a 2nd on d stroke of half time! All i could say is credit to Villa, they took their chances, we didnt take ours!
Kudos to MON who masterfully exploited our weaknesses. Villa used their speed down d flanks with great effectiveness n created problems for our defence all nite whenever they counter-attacked. Pool seems to hv problems coping with teams which draw their strengths on speed n individual flair, like Villa, Arsenal, Spurs n mayb Man C. Bolton might not b in d same pedigree as these teams but may well adopt similar tactics to trouble Pool this weekend. Reebok Stadium is 1 nightmare ground for visiting teams, n hopefully Pool wont b frustrated by d home team's rough house tactics. It's a must-win for us, no more excuses liao. If d unfortunate (i didnt use 'unforseeable') happens again, then better field d fcking Yankees in d remaining 33 matches!!!
