Hi Bro Long,
Hmm, yes if you touch down only at 7pm, then I guess it might be a bit late for hair wash. Can you still come to Vic for a bit around 8:45-9? If you'd like to go somewhere else after that, I'd be up for that too

Never buy stocks when there is a Economic Downturn. Today might be cheap, tomorrow will be cheaper. U never know when is the lowest. Same like property.
If you want to make money, buy when the economics is good.
Anyway, the stocks price is SGX is relatively very cheap now compare to many other regions. If U do study carefully, there are many companies trading below NAV and with a PE of less than 8. Look at Samudera and Orchard Parade for examples.
Bro...The masses will buy when there's an upturn. However, there's still money to be made during a downturn, if one has the technical know-how. A good investor makes money in times of bear and bull markets. For this issue, I think we should discuss in detail when we do meet up in little HCM, since it is of great interest to us

FYI I was stuck with Samudera shares for more than 10 years and still made a loss after selling it. I'm quite a prudent saver in the past but everything was wiped out twice when something unfortunate happened (some of you already know what happened) so now my principle is to go for what I want in life + enjoy it to the fullest.
Seems like you are a "long-term investor" with Samudera huh?? Haha. I do not concur to the fact of being one. I'm an opportunist, and will bail out and cut losses when the tough gets going. Likewise, we should also know when to sell when we'd made enough. But I do agree that we should also live life to the fullest. Like what Botar says: Never entrusts one's life to only one HOLE!!

The stock market functioned such that the savvy investor makes money from the not-so-savvy investor, the masses may buy but its important to be on the SAVVY side of the masses. The Pareto principle may apply, 20% makes money from the other 80% of the masses.........Anyway to me the term "good investor" is an oxy-moron, how can it be good when investing is so risky..
Nope me not into soooooo long term investment, just that there is a long story behind it.......tell you if we do meet again.....
Try fusion Viet-PRC cusine lah since you so adventurous, a.k.a Tarma

Sadly the truth is that only 5% makes money from the other 95%...Hmmm tarma my favourite!! Have tried PRC tarma, Viet tarma but never tried inter-racial tarma...Seems like a good idea to have Viet-PRC together sia

A few salons around New World area and several on Bui Thi Xuan 5-10 min walk away. The backpacker district(Pham Ngu Lao, Bui Vien etc.) is also within walking distance of New World. Lots of pubs there. Specifically what else were you looking for? Bros here may be able to help if you are more specific. How long are you staying in HCM?

The credit crunch situation is for real in Vietnam.
Now 2 of my main importers ( foreign owned) is having cash flow difficulties. I expect more importers to follow suit.
Perhaps time to bail out
Companies have cash, just that the bank are not willing to TT out funds in USD.
Reason being the govt has artificially imposed an exchange rate and if the banks use that rate to sell USD, they are losing big time.
So quite a number of banks has temporary stop TT services in foreign currency.
