Yes you are right...

problem is 99.99% of words we see in msgs are in the "naked form" meaning no "bean sprouts" on the top or the bottom...

So the way to approach any vietnamese sentence is - as mentioned before many times - to know the context of the conversation and then decipher it accordingly to get the best match...

I still cannot handle the "bean sprouts"...seems like Jack is way ahead of me liao..haha...my way of learning is to know the various different meaning that 1word have, then try to fit it the most suitable one..

alamak you cannot 'la rojak" and put all together la!!!

Chiong is chiong (either pay $$ or KC) straight forward;

Mastering a Language is a different ball game altogether... If one word can have 6 meanings, you go count the permutations that vietnamese language have altogether...then you have to add in country side slangs la, northern way of talking la, southern way of talking la, city short forms la...etc etc...you get the picture? NHUT dau wa!

I think maybe the permutations for winning TOTO(1 in abt 8 million) might just be slightly better than mastering Vietnamese altogether....and i mean fluently speaking vietnamese and understanding every word that a native can throw at you....
