To stay clear of those bike gals is a wise choice. Many local bars around the place for u to cheong. This thread provides many info on the local bars with their address. Show the cab driver the address and u will be there in no time. Happy cheonging

Newbie FR - see my first post re the 'sleaze bar'.

Forgot to mention did learn one good piece of news. Our hotel, pre-arranged by local partner is great. Somerset has two locations, both District 1. Somerset HCMC, Nguyen Binh Khiem St is older one, two room apt suites, kitchen, L/R & D/R, MBR has private bath, second BR has second bath. Newer Chancellor location is closer to sights, same layout but newer and only one common bathroom.

Girl friendly, your friend leaves her ID with security, they walk her to room. No extra fee. Even asked them to buy us condoms (thinking we'd need extra - which is you read my other post, never materialized)!

US$87++ per night, includes breakfast, 3 pieces of laundry FOC and one airport transfer. Nice pool for laps, gym, tennis court (HCMC location only); friendly service and internet available for room.

It has been quite sometime since someone posted FL on HCM here. Sad to see the HCM thread being degraded to the 3rd page.

I was back in HCM for a short 3 days 2 nights trip for the past few days. Will say that it has been nice to be without wifey control for the first time for the past 2 years.
