You can try orchid inn hotel, website Orchid Inn Resort, Angeles City, Philippines Standard room 1600 peso with swimming pool. Extremely close to all the actions. I've stayed there myself a couple of times, hope it helps. Central Park is also very nearby only but I'm not sure if their swimming pool is working. Stayed there last time but pool was not in use. Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
Clap clap. I am impressed with the level of maturity and eagerness to help/advise almost anyone who needs it.
I feel happy to be in the good company of these fine members. My last trip 2 weeks ago I visited Alaminos or 100 islands in Pangasinan. Found a seafood restaurant owned by a Singaporean who is also the chef. Ordered 2 LARGE lobsters and was pleasantly surprised that each cost me only $22 cooked. Next week I will probably do Tagatay or Bulacan.

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
Interesting read indeed. Had not been to AC for the past 2 to 3 years now. Guess plenty must had changed. But I ain't fretting coz I had purchased a ticket to AC in the middle of September. Hahaha.... AirAsia had some fantastic rates when I was looking a few months back. Don't think I can complain too much about a RM159.00 nett return flight ticket from KL to Clark....
Looking forward to AC in September then. In the mean time, keep the good times rolling, and keep the info coming. They are as good as it gets. Bravo to all bros who had been giving out useful tips and heads-up in this forum. I am looking forward to contributing mine when I make my return trip to AC after a long absence.... Adios! |

But, then again, if you are looking to be within 5 hours - not much choices do you get .. Take a couple of days and head to PG - Swagman and others have direct service .. you can find a 'companion' in PG, and then do some diving and head to the mountains for a day trip ..

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
My third trip to AC (and certainly not my last)
Just a short trip report. I suppose more informative than a blow by blow narrative. Because of the short stay there, I concentrated only on the bar strip and did not go further afield. Accomodation I stayed at the BrassKnob Hotel (further up Fields towards Perimeter after Cherry's Stampede). Peso 1000 a night. It has a very nice king sized bed (all my "companions" loved it), a rather dodgy hot water heater, a whiny air-cond (don't expect it to be really cold, rather an acceptable 23 to 24 degree Celcius sort of cold), a ceiling fan to circulate the not so cold air, a not so sound proof doors where you can hear the other patrons coming in and out of their rooms especially the girls with high heels, an in-room safe, coffee and tea, drinking water in the corridor, slow WIFI and cable TV. Anyway what does one expect for paying P 1,000 a night. Personally, I enjoyed staying there because it was walking distance to either Fields and to Perimeter bars. But that's just me. The Bars (the ones which I visited anyway, too many to do all) on the Perimeter end Brassknob Bar - Opens very early. I think around 10 am. Good for a drink before setting off if you are early but I think the talent could be improved. Different strokes for different folks though. Cherries Stampede - Two bars in one. Good for afternoon drinks since they open at 12.00 and they were just beside my hotel. Some nice ones, some not so nice (approx 30 per bar I was told) but this theme repeats itself throughout all the bars. The world cup was shown in Stampede on a large screen TV. Dr Holms - Quite a number of girls (twenty or more) in a bar this size. Again hit and miss. However had a very chatty and playful waitress called Jenny serving me that day. Not the prettiest but had a very fun attitude. If she was prettier I would have asked her out but alas with so many bars and so little time, one cannot have it all. Eruptions - Quite a big bar with many girls but the talent was quite dissappointing compared to my last visit. Or maybe I was there at the wrong time. Lost in Asia - The furthest bar (which I have ever visited) all the way near to Korean town and the Friendship Gate. Nice girls, nice atmosphere without any ladies drink pressure. Ponytails - I like this one. Had a lot of pretty girls in this bar. Total number of girls here was in excess of 40 I was told (twenty per shift with two shifts). Barfined two different girls on two separate nights from this bar. Rather good attitudes and GFE from both barfines. Too damn old to be doing it three times in one night especially over such a short period of time but the girls were really trying to get you to exercise. Tipped both of them a bit too much for the effort but was well worth it. Also good for an afternoon drink as the bar opens at 12. With BodyPainting, T-backs and all. Nice. Just got to be careful about the girls going for a Double Ladies Drink the minute you offer them a drink. BF for the girls here were P 1,500. Will continue on the bars from the Fields Avenue end some other day. |

And No....I will not share which hotels they are. Well look around, not many hotels in AC anyways for 1000 or less. LIA isn't the last bar on Perimeter. After LIA still have 2 more bars. Mirrors inside Clarkton Hotel and Stargate quite a distance after. In Friendship got a couple more bars....Cold Drop and JollyFrog. Maybe 1 other at most. Thanks for the FR ! Cheers ! |

I thought this forums were about sharing information. How can you not share some good deals with a cheap charlie like me? I'm sure the other brothers would not be interested in P1000 hotels. At least give me a hint so that I can go look them up. I'm a relative newbie in Angeles but I'm loving it. You are right that LIA is not the furthest bar along the road. It was the furthest I have ever visited so far. Anyway, is it possible to bum a ride to the Clarkton hotel via their free transfer service from Fields? Have anyone tried that before? I was tempted to do so. Instead I took a slow long walk to clear the alcohol out of my system and ended up in LIA to get high again. I did not drop in to one of my favorite bars, Honeykos this round but found another potential favourite in Treasure Island. More on Fields Avenue Bars later. |
