Like it happened - few year ago, when I land in NAIA T1, I was asked to pay TAX, on a used sound system I was taking as a gift, and despite my repeated begging that it was only worth 100$, I was given a 20$ TAX REceipt - and I stilll have it .. - and while I was sweating like hell I saw a guy who had his 'excess dollar' taken away and he too got a Receipt - poor bastard don't know he will never see his money again ...

Anyway, I switched over to TIGER HOTEL which is cheaper at PHP 1300 per room night

So if 1 guest complain of excessive noise.....does it the mean that all the guest experience that ???

I do use the 'money' pouch' that slide in .. but also scary because if you are taking domestic flights the body checks become more 'intimate' . .

I was in AC in 1st week of October last year. One of the senior bros adviced me not to worry too much. The typhoon and heavy rains does not affect AC too much especially when you fly into Clark directly. However, do bring a small umbrella (or buy one from the street vendors) just in case of occasional showers.

It was generally ok. However it did rain occasionally during my trip. Nothing to stop you from cheonging though. However, I'm sort of a walking sort of person (I don't really like to take trikes) and hence would have preferred less rain.

One of my BF's friend offered to lend me her umbrella to go bar hopping. All I did, to earn this reward, was a meal at Jollibee with my BF the night before. Shows that a bit of respect and kindness do go a long way.

I don't think AC is bad .. just that since filipinos are good in english, it is easy for them to scam foreigners, as the first obstacle of language is crossed easily.

And more foreigners let their guard down when they hear somebody speaking english ...

As for cost - overall - I havent been to LOS - but, everybody says Thailand has it's speciality - girls who dont go AWOL, and girls who dont insist only on bar hopping (you barfine a girls and she insists the bar fine is for no sex - only to bar hop and see her other friends... damnnit .. )

So - you got to be a bit street smart in AC, and if in doubt, ask ..

Cost wise- a lot of expats moan that hotels are expensive in AC, but at even 1,500 peso to 3,000 peso - come on guys - it is just 50 to 100$ - I'd rather pay that for safety and comfort ..

Rest - the other regulars can enlighten you

Keep yourself in good condition before coming over.
With the amount of pussies available here, it is very rare to find a 1-shot joe in AC. Most cheongsters would average @ 3 shots and I m toking about the "mature" guys above 50s. Youngsters can go 5-7 shots per night.
