Because of the Tiger airfare offer, I'm keen on going HCM next July. Too far away for any of my friends to confirm. Just trying my luck, anyone here might going?

I'm new to HCM and would appreciate if anyone will be willing to let me tag along.

Just to gather some opinion here from those that are based in HCMC. If you encounter a person who has total disregard for others when it comes to girls, how will you treat the situation???

I am sure many know the term "Guilt by association". Based on my above posting, lets say there is a person who is going around HCMC doing "things". And lets just say the "things" he does is not very admirable, some may say even disrecpectful or even dispecable.

Due to his actions, it has affected the reputation / image of his "friends". There are instances where by others make comments like, "how can your friend do that" or friendships are strained becuase your friend is upset at you for having a friend like that.

Uncle Ho, I'm realli sori to hear tat u had such a bad experience in HCMC. I guess sometimes we do encounter tis kind of ppl around ... best to distant ourself from them. Btw, are you based here too. If so, do pm the name of ur so called fren, so at least I can be pre-warned who is fren and who is not here.

My simple advice is just mix with your group of frens that you are comfortable with...

OK so I have made some rounds and checked out some of the places on that list that was posted a few pages back.

I can tell you that VERTU is a real nightclub, up in Phu Nhuan. It is quite loud, a very small stage with dancing girls up there, small tables with stools and PR's. Didn't spot anything particularly enticing. Prices a bit lower than average.

The place described as Beegees Trang (also Phu Nhuan) was a sad little affair. A tiny little bar with some glue factory girls, maybe four total?

Behind it is a karaoke, the kind where one person sings to all the customers in the whole room. A few PR's, but looked average.

The last spot I checked out was 141, which was same type of place as Vertu (that kind of Crystal type place) that actually looked better than Vertu. A big bigger, and girls seemed cuter.

Finally, the place in D5 described as Dong Kinh is actually Tokyo, which I'm sure most people here know of.
