Thumbs up Lilin and Allan divorce: One of them was 'spotted on date with Westerner'

An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

Speculation has been rife after local celebrity couple Wong Lilin and Allan Wu chose to call time on their 10-year marriage last Thursday (Jun 13).

The couple shocked Singaporeans when they announced, through their management company Fly Entertainment, that they would be filing for divorce after coming to a "mutual decision".

One of the reasons that may have led to the split could be because of an alleged extra-marital affair, Chinese newspaper Lianhe Wanbao reported.

Speaking to the Chinese newspaper, an anonymous source from within the showbiz circle claimed that one of them had gone on trips with someone from the opposite sex, and that he or she behaved in an 'intimate manner' with the other party.

The source also said that this person was spotted on a date with a 'Westerner' at a Japanese restaurant in Shanghai, where the couple was based at.

However, the thought of a third party wrecking the couple's marriage was dismissed by Lilin's business partner, who told Lianhe Wanbao that the split was probably due to "a difference in opinion about life between the two".

Since the public announcement, the duo have remained tight-lipped on this matter, with Wu asking for privacy to be given to their family.
