True stories

Hello fellow samsters, it is my first time in the discussions thread. I would like to relate a story that occured to me 2 years ago. It is a true story, no details are fictional except for the names of the people involved. Please pardon my lack of vocabulary and hopefully I don't make too much grammatical errors to attract the attention of the grammar nazis.

If fellow readers like what they have read, or even have encountered this situation before, feel free to comment or leave your experiences too. Just ensure that all stories told are true and not made up.

It was the night shift at work. I have been standing for about 3-4hours without rest and in came in a regular customer (lets call her Amanda). I've noticed her coming down to where I worked several times, and I even thought she seemed a little familiar but I never dared to ask her where I might have known her from. However, this very night, courage seemed to overwhelm me, filling every inch of my body. When I approached to assist her in her purchase, my mouth unknowingly spewed out "hey, do I know you from somewhere?" she shakes her head and gave a confused look. Feeling embarrassed, I quickly apologised to her for having thought I had known her.

A week had passed, she did not return to the shop for her regular purchase, so I thought to myself, 'maybe I scared her off, she probably thinks I'm a creep'. Just as I thought that, she steps into the outlet, and right next to her, was my friend. I finally knew why she looked so familiar, I must have seen her with my friend before. So, as I head over to them to help them with their items, I managed a smile at Amanda and said "hi" to my friend Grace. I felt really shy and awkward, so I did not speak much. That was when Grace introduced me to Amanda, and I explained that I did speak to Amanda before as I mistook her to be my friend.
