Share my experience at Wat Pho as a volunteer.

There were 6 advance students and I happened to be one of the volunteers on their final day. They already had 4 days of theory and watching the abbot performing the JG on those 4 days. The 5th and final day was their "hands on" day and the students had to perform the JG to obtain their certificates. Of the 6 models, only me and another guy were outsider volunteers as the other 4 models were novice monks from the temple. Interestingly all the 6 students were females. Mine was a French lady in her late 40s..... she claimed to be a former nurse who is making a 2nd career as a health therapist and came to LOS to learn authentic Thai massage. She had attended all the courses from beginner to this advance course.

We were all in a closed room and mattresses were laid out in a straight row. The abbot and a few senior instructors were also present and we were given a baggy knee length trouser to wear and nothing else. The session started off with normal traditional massage and after about 1 hour later then did the JG treatment started. It was done with the student putting her hands through the openings of the trouser legs and since we were on our backs with our knees bent.... actually the trouser legs easily slipped down exposing our privates. As all of us were in a straight row without any partition..... all the 6 female students could see everyone of our privates. I didn't care and just enjoyed the moment.

So now whenever I go to any massage outlet that claimed to offer authentic Thai JG...... I know whether they are the real thing or just bullshit.
