My 27th Batam Trip
(14th April 2016 to 17th April 2016)

This trip was like a test trip. Meaning to say,i put a lot of things to test. I put 2 hotels into test,i put a booking girl into test,i tested the one man's meat another man's poison theory,i test my own theory of a good hotel with everything build under one roof as well as sourcing for prices from Kaha. Nothing really special in this trip except i will rate it,better than my last and at a 8.5/10 rating. I hope to record this 27th Batam trip down in summary for my future reference.

Reference to my 26th Batam Trip Summary on March 2016

This trip is a little abnormal as compare to my last few trips. I did a small test on how i would advise other bros here to book from Kaha Travel. As in i tested out how do i would book thru Kaha for other hotels,hehehe...and i will be touching a lot on Hotels this summary since i am staying in 2 of them this trip.

My initial 1st choice was Da Vienna Boutique Hotel...

According to my own advise on how i would book hotel rooms from Kaha travel,i emailed Da Vienna Boutique Hotel,asking for a Deluxe room and a Junior suite,their reply to me was they have both rooms available,i ask them to reserve it,they say fine. So i thought all was well untill less than a day before my actual trip, i received an email from them telling me "sorry sir,your room has been taken,may i reserve for you the 2 other room-kind" etc etc....the moment i receive the mail,i almost lose my cool as it was less than a day before my trip and i replied them i wasnt very happy with their arrangement. i told them straight off to cancel all available hotel booking i have with them (I have other rooms on other days which i am helping my other friends to book too). Anyway,i think that guy (maybe its a girl) got a bit desperate and keep mailing me back to apologize blah blah blah...i never replied. Thumbs down for Tia Prihandani,the reservation officer for Da Vienna Boutique Hotel.

And using the exact method i use to reserve Da Vienna Boutique Hotel,i reserved rooms from Biz Hotel. And they were very much more professional. Special thanks to Jenny. They kept their words,reserved my room and ta da!On that day i arrived,i just head to Kaha to pay for the room voucher and then to Biz Hotel. Check in was as early as 1130am,hehehe...oh,and Biz Hotel got the deal of my other friend's room too.

I believe in terms of hotel room reservation skills,Biz is more experience,more down to earth and given the fact that both hotels were fully booked on the date i traveled to Batam. Biz has won over Da Vienna in this aspect. There are more...read on...

As my saying goes,there is no such as an all good and no bad in anything and in this case,it includes hotels. I like to check my room and in a testing trip like this one,i like to put the room i will be staying in to test. Like always,i turn on all lights,run the air con,tap and flush the toilet bowl...there's 2 toilets (living room and master bedroom),hehehe...and the one in the master bedroom was the one infest with a dozen tiny-beetle-size cockroaches (pretty obvious when the toilet bowl area is in white color). Honestly,i am actually fine with it as these cockroaches were within the boundary inside the toilet bowl. Still,i call the house keeping up to query. By the time they were there,no more insects. Lucky there were some dead remains as proof.

According to the maintenance guy,the 1st floor restaurant were having some cleaning up,so its likely the roaches moved upward. Ok...i am listening and lets not forget my room is on the 9th floor,restaurant on the 1st floor,hehehe...anyway,cut the story short. After voicing to him my dissatisfaction,my friend and i heads over for our regular "cewek-shopping" before heading for groceries shopping where i bought a bottle of Baygon insecticide :

I showed the room service guy 1 of the dead ones to show i arent lying and another one shown later to reception. Guess what they (reception) suggest? They wanted to give me a free upgrade to executive suite which is of a higher price (820k/night,junior was 670k/night from Kaha) but i tell them i will stay for a night to see how's the situation will be like 1st.

Sorry,i did not take any photo of the dead roaches as proof as i have flushes all of them down the toilet bowl.

When i reached my room,i used the insecticide on the whole room and ta da! Few of those tiny-beetle-size cockroaches's bigger brother starts coming up and i manage to kill of it...and this time round i showed them to the receptionist who later offered to switch my room to an executive suite (for free) which i politely turned down citing that i would like to stay in this cockroach infested room for a night and will only do the change tomorrow if necessary.

Look at how Biz Hotel handle the case. It was a test. There wasnt exactly a cockroach infestation. I have stayed in a handful of hotels in Batam that has roaches,even Formosa Hotel,Goodway,Gideon,Harmoni has them if i were to look hard enough. 1 or 2 is really inevitable and in the case of Biz Hotel,i looked hard.

Oh,and that free upgrade to executive suite in Biz Hotel wasnt exactly free. It comes with a small price of a can of Baygon,hehehehe....

We have brunch at Meximo Pub wan tan mee,before heading cewek-shopping,and then to groceries-shopping at Top-100. We changed our money opposite Formosa Hotel money changer becos they offered the best rate of 9700/SGD i know of before heading to Kaha to buy hotel voucher,checked in to hotel and brunch.

My friend took a 1.35 million rupiah girl from New Berry bargained from 1.5 million rupiah. i took a 1 million girl from Gold Bird. My girl should be a little prettier than my friend's who gave birth once before. Well,at least thats what i think,i believe my friend would think so too. Mine was 22 year old (never give birth before) and it is also uncommon that i will take a girl at 1 million rupiah and more. Reason why i took her,well...its another TEST. One of my most common words use, thats to drop Expectation by at least half.

Now,lets take a 2nd look at the above advises. What do you see in common on their advise? I see bro SibeiNew and bro PigletDiDi uses the same words,"Treating their booking girl like their friends". And i am almost sure bro Blackpage does the almost similar for his non-booking girl/s too. Please remember,the girl you took is going to accompany you for many hours to come (usually more than half a day),the key is ,a willing and happy service provider definitely more than willing provides better service happily,right? Hehehe...

(making someone happy do not necessary need to go to the extend to spoilt them tho)

1. In the beginning,it would have to 1st start with how you would pick your girl. And you will find what i am about to say is almost the same as what i will do on how i would pick my girl :

I picked girl/s from booking joint that SHOWS INTEREST in me. I dont say i pick my girl base on their looks or their figures,i dont say i pick my girl base on their pricing,i dont say i pick my girl base on how many HP (handphones) they carried with them while they are in the fish tank. I say,i pick my girl/s base on THEIR interest in me and thats my priority (not that the rest of the other points i mention isnt important,hehe..). Or at the least shows interest,have eye contact,if she looks like a willing party,smile at her to see her response blah blah blah...

2. Now the OKT's attitude. When i ask him about no runaway girls etc etc,i also observe his attitude. I can also ask OKT when i eyed 2 or 3 girls that shows interest in me,which one is better,their pricing etc. If his reply is everyone also good,hehehe....i thanked him and walk off. Shows that the OKT didnt know his girls well enough and/or simply not interested.

4. Lowering your expectation if you are new or a 1st timer. Many failed in this aspect. My minimum expectation is a SSYT not showing interest in me,then i am in for the deepest shit,hehehe...not true? Many mixed up between expectation and their standard requirement for girls. Many tends to choose very young slim sweet pretty girls,but they didnt know these girls wasnt interest in them and remember,the girls picked were very young. And what do most young girls have in common in any country? Playful,wilful (immature in thinking),looking for fun,excitement,activities and when one picks them,they will have to ask themselves,"can i keep up"? They may end up not having a good time. Try a change,by picking a girl off your "requirement" just once. Just to see if you mixed up between expectation and requirement.

5. Picking girls between the SYT and MILF range.The girls i picked may not be the girl that shows interest.In that case,i will give it a miss. I look at the girls from left to right. 6. They all have shown some level of humility from my point of view. This goes with experience,bro..and i believe you are also equipped with that too.

When i have a booking girl in my room (that shows interest in me),i try not allow her to think that i only want to bonk her even tho she knew i wanted to. i try to make friend (help her forget she's a sex worker for a bit). And how do i make friend? I 1st intro myself,try to get to the know the other person. Be curious,learn more and as much as i do that,my booking girl also wants to know more about me too. Try those girls at between 800k to 1 million rupiah girls that SHOWS interest in you regardless of their looks (so long they dont fall under the ugly category). Try to "make friend". Try to find a common talking topic (so long its not about shopping,buying things for her etc).

Dinner was at A2 Food Court. Yes,i was looking for my Buaya Satay...no,again they do not have stock. Haiz...

But we did order some food that we werent able to finish it all...

After dinner,we headed for a movie at BCS mall since a2 Food court was just beside. Good timing to go there becos most shops were closed and the girls couldnt shop,hehehe...

Anyway,we watched The Jungle Book...

Movie was nice,the girls and my friends enjoy it. Ticket is cheap so long we dont buy the pop corn and drinks from the theatre,hehehe...

Anyway,my "show" starts when my girl and me return back to our room. We really soak ourselves silly in that Jacuzzi Bath tub which holds 2 of us in it. After cleaning up ourselves,had 2nd rounds and when the rounds are up,we soak ourselves again. The good thing about this room is,it has bath robe and 2 of them... (other normal room type dont)

Honestly,other than the cockroach part in the bath room,i love everything that comes with it. The toilet bowl in the photo below is where i found the insects.

I think all the ice breaking process helps her to become more relax and there the "rounds" goes on until the next morning. I think we might have overdo it since she slept from sunrise till around 9am+ and only realise she needs to return after i return back from the Momo Breakfast,hehehe...

Oh,by the way...my friend and me had 2 breakfast. Breakfast part 1 was in the hotel 11th floor,part 2 was at Momo. My girl (1st night) was waiting at the hotel lobby around 10am for me where i tipped her 150k. Like i say,witnessed...hehehe...

Sorry that i didnt take photos of the breakfast spread. All i can say its almost similar like those i see in Formosa Hotel,beat Gideon one,almost equivalent to Goodway hotel but lose out to Da Vienna Hotel.

We didnt really eat our fills in Biz becos we all know we are heading for round 2 at Momo,hehehe...and after round 2,we need to go shopping. But not before i head to buy HDMi cable to test out their 40' LCD TV,hehehe...

Shopping time,my friend got a girl from Happy 8 at 1.2 million rupiah (bargained from 1.35 million),myself got a girl whom has returned from her hometown at 700k. Both girls were around early 20s,tall,slim,pretty enough etc and supposingly SYT...mine gave birth twice whereas my friend one has not (if i dont remember wrong).

Now this is the day i am in luck as well as piss off (almost blowing my top) within an interval of the 4.5 hours noontime.

Now for the piss off part. I am suppose to buy some stuffs from pharmacy for my part time boss. I visit my usual A shop,they ran out of stock,so i visited B shop. Price was about 20% higher,so i visited C shop and followed by D, E and F shop. What pissed me off was when i bargained with D shop bargained with them,got a good price tho still higher than A shop. I returned to buy after F shop and when i reach there,they told me they didnt even have the stock to begin with. Honestly,why waste my time to be even talking and bargaining when they during the initial start do not even have the stock i need at all??

And becos i raised the volume of my voice (not shouting tho),i believe i must have left them a not-so-good impression. Yes,i wasnt shouting in their presence,but i must admit i was cursing and swearing when i am back to the vehicle where these action of mine was witness by the 2 girls and the driver in it. My action also spoil my later pharmacy visit mood when i become no longer a nice guy. So,i practically threw away the 3 rules of mine (be nice,be humble,be patient) This is the 2nd time in all my Batam trips that i lose my cool...1st was during Feb 2015 at Kroepoek food court Nagoya City Walk (by the way,Kroepoek food court has reopened but renamed) :

Its the 2nd time,so i am keeping a record of it in this summary to serve as a reminder for myself. There is always a price to pay for mistakes and i pay it with a higher priced merchandise (too prideful to return to the shop that sells at a lower price as i am still in hulk-mode),a higher blood pressure (affecting my negotiation with other pharmacies when i talk to them,remember i dont speak bahasa)and scaring the girls (leaving behind a bad impression). See,nothing really good comes out from anger and losing my cool.

Anyway,a friend who wish to link up sms-ed, suggesting dinner. I learned that he was at MB Massage and we arranged for our dinner meet up at hotel lobby of Biz. I send the 2 girls who were with me to the hotel 1st before heading to my Pharmacy hunt again (i felt bad actually).Hehehe...i must have visited most Batam's major pharmacy. I had a tired time trying to help my part time boss buy this stuffs at the right price. Head back to Hotel,rest a little w/o getting my 1st round and it was about dinner time. My link-up-friend turn up a little early and i just have to show him my room.

Note : It was already my 2nd night in Batam,so i have already switch from the 670k rupiah Junior suite to the 820k executive suite during the morning after my 1st night girl is gone.

Its not like everyday i stayed in a pretty cool room,hehehe...so i MUST show it to my link-up-friend.

I like this room,but its expensive in a way. So no more staying in here unless the hotel plans to give me a free upgrade again. 820k rupiah hotel in Batam,i will have many choices. And lastly,this room like the junior suite i stayed in the previous night, they have had 2 toilets...

...and to my surprise, the corridor from the lift elevator to my room isnt air-conditioned.

There is no safe box in the junior suite,however both room has a cooler which i do not have much usage on.Believe me,i have been searching high and low for the safe (even when i dont use it at all). Junior suite has a smaller fridge tho and w/o the kitchen. Master bedroom toilet for executive suite is much bigger.

Comparing the Junior suite and Executive suite,i actually like the Junior suite better even when its smaller in size. (smaller room,stronger air-con) Staying in this 2 bed rooms is like staying in the BTO flat of Sillypore today versus staying in a HDB flat my grandpa stays in 30 years ago. My grandpa's flat more spacious.

Junior suite = BTO Flat

Executive suite = my grandpa's flat 30 years ago

Both suites has a Jacuzzi Bath tub as well as a LCD TV inside toilet,hehehe...1 room 1 hall kind with one Mitsubishi aircon in each cubicle area. That should be enough information for Biz Hotel Junior Suite and Executive Suite.

Kaha Pricing for Biz Hotel -

Moderate/Economy room : 370k rupiah

Superior room : 400k rupiah

Deluxe room : 520k rupiah

Junior Suite : 670k rupiah

Executive Suite : 820k rupiah

Remember this :
Smaller room = stronger air-con ventilation.

Back to my link-up-friend who arrived a little earlier,i go downstairs to the the lobby to pick him up to show him my room. Afterwhich,we head down to the lobby again to meet my other friend to head for dinner at Hai Ou.

The food we had :

The bill for 6 person eating it and we have leftovers which we da bao back to my room.

403k rupiah isnt too bad for a meal for 6 pax,i guess.

Same thing like yesterday after back to hotel. OTOT and then Jacuzzi bath together,and then OTOT again...and then massage. Yes,in-hotel massage at Biz Hotel....and that Blue Bayou Spa and Massage.

That cost me 450k,more than double of what i get in Formosa Hotel. Honestly,they should not be charging me 450k but instead should be 400k. I ask for Javasutra massage (250k) for my girl,but she was given Indonesia Traditional massage (200k) and i had foot reflexology (200k). Anyway,the massage girls did a good job so i have no complain for the overcharge,i just take it as a small tip for their hardwork. (my heart aches for the 50k loss,hehehe...) But this dishonesty behavior of theirs has stop me for future patronizing them. I will bring in my "own massage shop" girls if i stay in Biz Hotel the next time round. Yes,i will still be staying in Biz again.

Next morning,we went to Maximo pub want tan mee for breakfast. Saw a post in the forum asking me to take photo of the Biz's breakfast but i was too late...

My friend is returning to Sillypore and i have decide to extend another night in Batam given the fact that i have had a very good 2 nights stay. I wish to push my luck further to see how well it can go this 27th trip to Batam. I decide to change to Da Vienna Boutique Hotel.

After my girl left at 930am plus,i start packing and make arrangement to head to Kaha to get my desire room....a Junior Suite. The same room i have missed before i step into this trip.

The whole process was,after breakfast at Meximo Wan Tan Mee,head to Kaha,grab a room for Da Vienna Boutique Hotel Junior Suite,head back to Biz to pack up and check out and then move in to check in at Da Vienna...

We arrived to Da Vienna around 115pm,and believe it or not...room isnt ready. And we have to wait for say...until close to 2pm. Didnt quite like the wait as over a period of the nearly 45 min wait,more and more people are turning up at the reception to ask for their room.

There was 2 reception counter actually,one for check in and another for check out. The staffs were all very busy coordinating for rooms and guests to be check in/out. They do look like they were short on staffs. 45 mins is a long wait,hehehe...anyway,i didnt hurry them in anyway but i really want to see how well they fare so i quietly play with the fishes that were in front of the reception (no,i didnt kill any of it and they were all alive,hehehe...) ....

...they do have a few pretty receptionist there tho. Anyway,i move around the reception area and took some photos of something else rather than the girls. Not that i arent interested,just a form of minimum respect for the staffs who works there as they were all born by mothers (as mentioned before in this thread). The last i remember,i have a mum too. (personal perspective only)

The above business center were at the other reception counter. See people (staffs) running in,running out... hmmm....
