Bro Rickey,

looks like ETH already has a ready excuse for poor performances this season.

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

As I read thro the performance index of the players that ETH is going for, there is a high emphasis on passing rather than positional purpose.
Example of defender will be, just need to have decent defensive abilities, but good passing has high priority.

de ligt, not good enough for Juve, not good enough for Bayern, but good enough for Man Utd ?
His defensive plays(tackles/blocks) last season was bottom 30 percentile, but passing was top 20 percentile, as the same with Noussair.

So when we lose, we can take comfort in good passing ?

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

2 sides to a coin lah.

Utd did look better and managed to hold it out against City.

But Utd still lack clinical finishing and defensive resilience.
Think ETH still doing funny biz sending in Pellistri for RB position.

Seems like Dejavu from last season ... or will it be a different song at the end?

Wow bro WankJanice...I think u make a very good football journalist or analyst for Man Utd with that detailed table above

Yes, the baldy is good in finding excuses...whenever his team loses, it is not his fault n won't blame himself for not selecting the right players to go onto the pitch or his wrong tactics n his inability to read the problems his team is facing during the game n therefore making wrong substitutions

I beg to differ with u bro marmots on some points...passing the ball accurately is impt to help build up the attack in the final half n score goals..if I m not wrong, they say playing out from the back...but personally I m not an advocate of this style of play...I prefer the goalie to give a strong kick n send the ball over to the opposition penalty area causing them panic n catching them unawares n this making it easy for their strikers to put the ball into the net n score the goal

As for de ligt, it seems he was not kicked out by Juve or Bayern Munich but wanted to re-unite with baldy his former boss at Ajax...I believe he n the other guy shd be better than Macguire n Lindelflop... but anyway time will tell whether they r as good as pple say or not...if they r not, then it is money wasted again

Ability to pass well is certainly good, but for defenders, the vital thing is tackling/blocking/heading/positioning.
A defender can pass well, not going to help him when he can't defend well enough to prevent the ball going into his own net.

de ligt defensive performance indices are on the low side, that's why he fell out of first choice at Juve and Bayern.

The other thing I am wondering is, why is Man Utd so cursed with injuries ?
ETH is responsible for significant part of it, but that was last season, now falling like dominoes before the season even start.
Unless the players were training too intensely with not enough rest.

The bright side is no longer spending stupid money, but the baggage of previous purchases is still weighing down on current financial state.

I hope that McTominay stays, he causes distraction for the opposing team with his ceaseless running and also contribute goals.
RashFord, he deserves another season to get himself right.
Sancho, not sure if his heart is till in Man Utd.

Nonetheless, looking forward to the new season.

Hope is Top 4.
